UPDATED---DEVELOPING: Husband And Wife Arrested In Helmlinger Murder:

Evin Davis Jr. (mug shot above)

Melissa Irene Davis Mug Shot:

Updated November 2, 2009:

Two people have been arrested for the murder of twenty four year-old Chris Helmlinger of Berrville, Arkansas.

Chris Helmlinger (family photo)

Authorities say that Helmlinger went missing on Sunday September 27th after leaving his mother Karla Davis' Berryville home on foot.

His mother allegedly told cops on October 4th that her son was headed to his grandmother, Betty Davis', house where he lived a few miles away.

However, Betty Davis, 78, says that her grandson left her house for Sunday school in his car early that morning. Mrs. Davis says, "I got a call from Car-Mart on Monday morning saying that they found my grandsons car with the keys in the ignition in a back lot.....but he was no where around."

Mrs. Davis says that she tried to get the Berryville police department to help her find her grandson but says, "they told me that they couldn't help me because of his age."

In fact, she says one Berryville police officer--Walker--yelled at her on the phone when she became hysterical in her quest for help. Davis says that Walker told her, "shut up...or I'll hang the phone up and not help you."

Mrs. Davis says that only after she called her local radio station and told them the story did she get any help from cops. That help initially came from Carroll County Sheriff Bob Grudek.

Davis says that after Grudek and his deputies began to help her the Berryville police department started helping her as well.

Helmlinger's body was discovered in a shallow grave near the Glen Echoes trailer park on October 18th....three weeks to the day that he went missing.

Authorities say that a resident of the park stumbled across a "strange mound" of dirt and called police.....a shovel was found nearby. Mrs. Davis says that police have told her that Chris was shot.

Intake reports from the Carroll County jail show that Melissa Irene Davis, 37, Berryville, was taken into custody on Friday (10-30-09) for capital murder and hindering prosecution. She told cops where they would find her husband, Evin Davis Jr.

Law enforcers say that Davis Jr., turned himself in to authorities in McCallen, Texas (Hidalgo County) on charges of capital murder and tampering with a motor vehicle over the weekend.

Sources say, and Mrs. Davis confirms, that someone gave Helmlinger $5,000 shortly before he died. "I have the bank statement, there's still about $4,500 in the account. I believe someone killed him because they wanted the money," she says.

Some people say that the money came from a woman who attended Helmlinger's church who gave him the money because she thought he had potential to become a minister and, "because God told her to."

There are also reports that someone logged in to Helmlinger's FaceBook account on October 3rd.

So, where was Chris Helmlinger from September 27th until October 3rd? Was it him or his killer/s that logged into his FaceBook account and accepted a friend request on October 3rd?

There are a lot of questions that can't be answered over the weekend when you can't get authorities to return your phone call....like have cops traced the IP address used to log into Helmlinger's account to help them solve this mystery?

Mrs. Davis says that Berryville cops told her last Friday (10-30-09) that they were going to serve a search warrant on a house that they believed could help them in their search for Chris Helmlinger's murderer/s.

What came of that search warrant....another question that will have to wait to be answered later because the probable cause statements and arrest affidavits for Melissa and Evin Davis have been sealed by the court.

Attorney General Koster says registered sex offenders must follow Halloween law:

Attorney General Chris Kostertoday reminded Missourians that a 2008 law requiring special actions on Halloween by registered sex offenders is in effect, despite recent legal challenges.

According to Koster, on Halloween registered sexoffenders must:

● Avoid all Halloween-related contact with children.

● Remain inside his or her residence between the hours of 5:00 and 10:30 p.m. unless required to be elsewhere for just cause, including but not limited to employment or a medical emergency.

● Post a sign on his or her residence stating, “No candy or treats at this residence.”

● Leave off all outside residential lighting during the evening hours after 5:00 p.m.

“Parents always need to be cautious and aware of the houses their children are visiting on Halloween,” Koster said.

“But parents certainly should not have to worry that their children might be ringing the doorbell of a registered sex offender. I fully support this law to forbid sex offenders from contact with trick-or-treaters.”

UPDATED: Former Kanakuk Kamp Director Thrown In Jail For Showing Up Late To Court---U/D: Newman Posts Bond:

Pete Newman Mug Shot 10-29-09

The former assistant director of Kanakuk Kamp was thrown in jail today for showing up late for court.

Pete Newmann was due in court at 10 a.m., but didn't show up until right at 10:15, angering Associate Circuit Court Judge Tony Williams.

Newman's attorney Tom Carver attempted to explain to Judge Williams that it was his fault that his client was late....but at that point it was already too late as Williams had signed a warrant for Newman's arrest.

Tom Carver (above)

Newman, who had been free on $50,000 bond, is now being held in the Taney County jail on an additional $10,000 CASH ONLY BOND......and a $90,000 signature bond.

Last month, Newman was charged with four felony charges for sex offenses involving children that allegedly took place at the camp and at Newman's Taney County home.

Newman's twin brother, mother and father attended today's hearing in Forsyth.

Note to attorney Carver....if your client gets out of jail he will want to show up promptly at 1 p.m. on November 17th, as that is that date that Williams has set aside for Newman's preliminary hearing.

Taney County Prosecutor Jeff Merrell says that no additional charges have been filed against Newman at this time. However, Merrell says that detectives are continuing to investigate allegations against Newman and that additional charges could be filed in this case.

Newman was terminated in June after being employed by Kanakuk Kamps for more than 10 years.

UPDATE 1-30-09 @ 11:15 a.m.:

After being held behind bars for about eight hours yesterday, Newman posted bond about 6:15 last night.

UPDATED: Jury Finds Bolden Guilty Of Killing Monte Ruby:

Bolden

A Boone County jury has found a Springfield man guilty of second-degree murder and second-degree assault of emergency personnel in the death of Cox North security guard Monte Ruby in August of 2008.
The jury got the case that had been unfolding in that courtroom for the last three days about 4:30 this afternoon (10-28-09.) After about two and a half hours of deliberations the jury was back with the guilty verdicts.

The jury agreed with Greene County prosecutors that Jeffery Bolden, 42, caused the death of Cox North security guard Monte Ruby when he kicked the sixty two year-old man in the head when he became combative as a patient in the emergency room.

Ruby

Bolden, was taken to the hospital for treatment of a K-9 dog bite after officers arrested him as part of an investigation into an alleged arson case.

Defense attorney Clate Baker says that the police dog, "chewed Bolden's leg down to the bone," and that the kick from his client was just a reaction to him being in pain from the wound, and techniques that officers and Ruby were using to subdue Bolden.

Witnesses called to the stand yesterday said that Bolden was calling Ruby names and taunting him about his daughters suicide.

Ruby's wife testified that her family knew Boldens father for, "over 40 years."

Baker called a medical examiner who testified that the cause of Ruby's death could have come from a previous neck wound, and Ruby's high blood pressure--coupled with the mounting tension in the emergency room caused Ruby to have a stroke.

Bolden is scheduled to be sentenced on December 14th.

The case was moved to Boone County on a change of venue after extensive media coverage.

Trial Scheduled To Begin For Man Accused In Kicking Death:

The murder trial of a Springfield man charged with causing the death of a hospital security guard is set to get underway today in Boone County.

On August 2, 2006, Jeffrey Bolden, was taken to Cox North after a fight with his father that resulted in the man getting bit by a police dog that needed medical attention.

While he was at the hospital, Bolden allegedly became combative and was exposing himself to nurses who were assigned to take care of him.

Monte Ruby,62, who worked security for the hospital and was a reserve Springfield police officer, told co-workers that he knew Bolden's family and would try and get the man calmed down.

Somewhere between getting Bolden into a hospital gown and handcuffed, Bolden says that Ruby "choked him and that he kicked Ruby to defend himself."

Ruby was kicked in the back of the head as he turned to leave...he fell into a coma and died two days later from brain injuries.

In May of this year, Boldens attorney, Clate Baker, angered some members of Ruby's family and the general public when he asked for a court order to exhume Mr. Ruby's body so that samples from under Ruby's fingernails could be analyzed to see if they contain any of Bolden's DNA.

During Ruby’s autopsy, a Springfield police detective specifically told the Greene County medical examiner not to take scrapings from underneath the guards’ fingernails, testimony taken in deposition has shown. Baker says those scrapings could prove or disprove Bolden’s allegation that Ruby choked him.

The results of those tests have not been made public

UPDATED: Barry County Woman Federally Charged In Murder-For-Hire Scheme:

Katherine A. Mock

A Barry County woman is accused of conspiring to help her friend kill her husband for insurance money.

Federal prosecutors say that Katherine A. Mock(a.) 55, of Cassville, conspired to help Elain Kay Novinger Young, 55, Novinger, kill her husband, Melvin "Beau" Griesbauer, in November of 2006.
Sources say that Mock and Young became friends through the dog breeding.

A week after Beau’s death, Kathy Mock was arrested for his murder.

Elain "Kay" Young

Two years after the homicide, Kay Young (a.) was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. The 55 year-old widow is being held on a $2.5 million, cash only, bond.

Those charges now accompany the federal conspiracy charges that were filed today (10-23-09.).

Some of the alleged evidence leading to Mock's arrest came from an interview with her own son, Thomas Ponder, who told cops that his mother told him Kay Young wanted her husband killed and there was a $10,000 payment to anyone who would kill him.

It is alleged thatMock first tried to recruit someone referred to as “K.P.” to kill Griesbauer for $6,000, according to the indictment, and then tried to get someone referred to as “T.P.” to do it for $10,000.

Some evidence recovered at the crime scene included a knit ski mask, allegedly containing Mock’s DNA, and a box of latex gloves which belonged to Young.

Mock allegedly left her Barry County home on March 22, 2006, and drove to the couple’s home in Novinger. On the way, court documents allege that she stopped and purchased a ski mask from Wal-Mart in Republic that was used in the conspiracy.

A friend of Mock’s, who was unaware of Griesbauers murder, drove her to a Joplin hospital for mental help on March 24, 2006. That friend told authorities that Mock told her that, "Young had given her “several hundred (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) pills with instructions to take some of these, “to receive a short term in a mental hospital and avoid a penitentiary sentence.”

On April 6, 2006 Mock was taken into custody at a mental health facility in Joplin, where she reportedly checked herself in to “avoid prison time.”

Kay Young, is a descendant of John C. Novinger who founded the Adair County town of Novinger. It was on the founding fathers property that Melvin "Beau" Griesbauer was gunned downed after completing his late-night shift at a meat packing plant where he made about thirty-five grand a year.

Union Depot--Novinger, MO

Kay Young had been married three times before she wed Beau at at Fort Leonard Wood in 2004. In all three of her previous marriages she took her previous husbands last names....but not Beau's.

Kay and Beau getting married at FLW

Some people say that it was because she allegedly knew that Beau wouldn't be around for long.

Griesbauer, was an LPN/Army Reserve Specialist who survived a tour in the desert, and was insured to the max. His wife told friends he did so to make sure she would be taken care of if anything happened to him.

At the time of her husbands deployment, Kay was allegedly facing surgery with an uncertain outcome.

But, on March 23, 2006, two years after Beau Griesbauer and Kay Young exchanged vows at Fort Leonard Wood, and not long after he returned from Iraq, the 43 year-old was found shot in the head near a barn on his wife's property.

Lying near Beaus body was a Novinger family heirloom rifle, a 30-30 Winchester....but it was at weird angle for a suicide according to investigators and it immediately raised the neck hairs of investigators.

By all appearances Kay Young was a stellar member of her community. She was a school superintendent, a class sponsor and a beloved teacher. She fostered children and championed Christian causes.

She also made donations to local 4-H clubs in “memory of her mother” Celia Hammons who died in 2000.

When the original family homestead was given to Kay, in the months preceding Celia’s death, Kay’s siblings said that their sister turned their mother against them and restricted visitation with her.

With the town talking about Beau's suspicious death and Celia Hammon's death, some people took their suspicions to authorities who exhumed Celia's body for testing. No word on what those results revealed.....yet.

Adair County deputy sheriff, Larry Logston, has indicated that several people in the community and confidential informants came forward with information on the cases.

Logston told Truman State University Index reporter Nathan Becker that most people in Novinger, that knew Kay Young and had dealt with Kay Young, believe she killed Beau Griesbauer.

FULL PRESS RELEASE:

TWO MISSOURI WOMEN CHARGED WITH CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT MURDER FOR HIRE & MURDER FOR HIRE:

St. Louis, MO: Elain Kay Young and Katherine A. Mock were charged with federal conspiracy charges involving the murder of Young’s husband, Acting United States Attorney Michael W. Reap and Adair County Prosecuting Attorney Mark Williams announced today.

According to the indictment, Young and Mock planned and caused the murder of Young’s husband Melvin B. Griesbauer on March 23, 2006, so that Young could collect his insurance policies.

The indictment alleges that Young knew that her husband had a $600,000 basic life insurance policy issued by the Army And Air Force Mutual Aid Association (AAFMA) through his service in the United States Army National Guard.

Young was beneficiary of the policy upon her husband’s death. She was also the beneficiary under two other policies concerning Mr. Griesbauer. Young had enrolled him in a $37,500 accidental death and dismemberment insurance policy through Monumental Life Insurance Company in connection with her employment at the Milan Schools and her association with the Missouri State Teachers Association.

They had also enrolled in another accidental death and dismemberment insurance policy for $100,000 through Continental Casualty Company, a subsidiary of CNA.

Young allegedly recruited Mock to pursue a scheme to murder Griesbauer.

In March 2006, Mock attempted to recruit a person to commit the murder for $6,000. The same month, Mock attempted to recruit a different person for $10,000.

On March 22, 2006, Mock traveled from her residence in Cassville, MO, to Griesbauer and Young’s residence in Novinger, MO.

During the late evening hours of March 22, 2006, or the early morning hours of March 23, 2006, Young drove to Kirksville to pick up Griesbauer at conclusion of his work shift.

The indictment alleges that when they returned home, Mock and Young caused the death of Griesbauer by causing him be shot in the head with a .30-30 Winchester caliber rifle, a firearm previously in the possession of Young and her family.

Both Mock and Young tried to conceal their involvement in the murder by making false statements to other persons. Additionally, as alleged in the indictment, Young provided Mock with pills containing hydrocodone and acetaminophen. She told Mock consume the pills in order to receive a short term in a mental hospital and avoid a penitentiary sentence.

Beginning in late March 2006, Young used facilities in interstate commerce, and thereafter the mail, as part of processing the insurance claims.

Finally, the indictment alleges that in April 2009, Young mailed letters to potential witnesses directing them not to disclose her ability to escape from custody and directing them how to communicate regarding her ability to escape and travel to a non-extradition country.

Young, 55, Novinger, MO; and Mock, 55, Cassville, MO, were each indicted on one felony count of conspiracy to commit murder for hire and one felony count of murder for hire.

If convicted, the maximum penalty for each charge is life in prison and fines up to $250,000.

Reap commended the tremendous efforts of the Adair County Prosecutor’s Office in conducting its investigation.“This was a long term investigation,” said Roland Corvington, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI in St. Louis. “The cooperation from the Adair County Sheriff's Office, Barry County Sheriff's Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol helped bring this case successfully to this point.”

Reap and Williams commended the work on the case by the Adair County Sheriff’s Office, the Barry County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Kirksville Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation; and Assistant United States Attorneys Tom Dittmeier and Michael Reilly, who are handling the case for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

The charges set forth in an indictment are merely accusations, and each defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Charges Filed In Noel Murder:

Charges have been filed in a fatal shooting that took place on a street in Noel last month.

Voluntary manslaughter charges have been filed against forty-nine year old James Patterson, who allegedly shot his thirty-two year-old son-in-law Marty Reece multiple times with a handgun "in self defense," on Alexander Drive September 7th.

When authorities arrived at the crime scene, Patterson and his wife Kimberly, both of Noel, were both arrested and placed on a twenty-four hour hold. They both posted bond.

The Pattersons' daughter, Jindy Patterson-Reece, who was married to the victim was also at the scene of the shooting.

According to online court records Jindy Reece filed for divorce from her husband this past February and had an active order of protection against Reece at the time of his death.

Taney County Woman Charged With Masquerading As Registered Nurse:

A woman who posed as a Registered Nurse for two years is in big trouble with the law.

Lori Lynn Aydt (a.), 38, of Ridgedale, worked for Skaggs Regional Medical Center in Branson from June 2007 through June of this year.

The problem is that the Missouri State Nursing Board says that Aydt has never been licensed in the state.

The Taney County woman is facing a misdemeanor charge of masquerading as a nurse, and a felony charge of bilking the hospital out of $25,000 in pay for not being a health care professional.

I don't think the stealing charges will stick as she did perform work for the hours for which she was paid.

UPDATE 10-21-09:

Ms. Aydt's attorney, Barney Naioti (b.) sent me the following email this morning. Here it is in it's entirety.

Dear Sir or Madam:
You stated in your publication (blog) that my client, Lori Aydt "Masqueraded" as a registered nurse.

If this is a true statement, please provide me with the source and who actually stated that she "Masqueraded" as a RN.

If you simply made up this language for your blog reporting, then it is considered false and malicious reporting, in which case you may be subjected to a defamation-of-character lawsuit and possible money damages.
Please advise your source immediately. Otherwise, if there is no source and you simply made up this language, then I will settle for a simple retraction and apology on the same web-site/blog.

My Response to Mr. Naioti:

Mr. Naioti, The press release from Skaggs hospital states that your client did/or does not have credentials to practice as a Registered Nurse, or any nurse for that matter.

If you would like to communicate further with me my phone number is 417-224-1897.

I will be sure to add your concerns to my publication.

FULL PRESS RELEASE FROM SKAGGS:

Skagg’s Regional Medical Center released the following statement after the news of Aydt’s arrest became public:

Skaggs Regional Medical Center is cooperating with the Taney County Prosecutor’s office in its investigation of former employee, Lori Aydt, accused of falsely identifying herself as a registered nurse.

During an internal audit and bi-annual license renewal process in May of 2009, it was discovered Aydt was missing required proof of licensure through the Missouri State Board of Nursing.

When she was unable to produce proof of licensure she was placed on administrative leave without pay.

When it was discovered she was not registered with the Missouri State Board of Nursing, she was terminated and Skaggs filed a formal complaint with the Branson Police Department.

Aydt started her career at Skaggs as a graduate nurse in May of 2007.

In accordance with state law, she had 90 days to become licensed through the Missouri State Board of Nursing. Through Skaggs’ continuing quality efforts our nurses are provided with ongoing educational opportunities paid for by Skaggs Regional Medical Center.

At no time were patients harmed in any way nor were any complaints filed regarding her care during her employment.

Skaggs Regional Medical Center considers quality patient care our top priority. Any nurse employed with SRMC is required to comply with state laws, including being board certified through the Missouri State Board of Nursing.

The actions of the former employee are unacceptable. While it was and still is Skaggs’ policy to renew nursing licenses every two years, policies have been reinforced within our organization to ensure any individual who cannot provide prompt proof of license or certification is not to be employed with Skaggs Regional Medical Center.

Our manual renewal process was replaced in May 2009 with a computerized system called Lawson which alerts us of any employee certification that is coming due.

Murder Investigation Underway In Anderson:

Mike Smith mug shot

An investigation is underway in McDonald County in the murder of a man in Anderson on Sunday.

Investigators say that an ongoing argument over a woman led Matthew Robertson, 31, to kick in his neighbors door Michael Smith's, 39, apartment about 8:30 Sunday night.
Authorities from Anderson and the McDonald County Sheriff's Office found Robertson dead from a gunshot wound to the chest when they responded to a call at Smith's home.

It appears that Smith will not be charged with any murder charges because of the "Castle Doctrine". Smith was defending his home and had the right to protect himself using deadly force. But, Smith is a felon and was in possession of a firearm.

He was federally charged and was transported to the U.S. Marshal's in Springfield to face charges on Thursday.
Smith fled the scene, but was found a short time later in Stella at an "ex's house in Newton County.
Smith's sister is the daughter-in-law of McDonald County Presiding Commissioner Larry Jones.

Christian County Assessor Sandra Bryant-Littles Federally Indicted:

Sandra Bryant-Little (Christian County Headliner)

An elected official in Christian County was arrested at her office on federal charges this morning.

Assessor Sandra Bryant-Littles, 50, of Clever, was indicted under seal by a federal grand jury with four counts of mail fraud for failing to truthfully assess her own property.

That indictment alleges that in 2007 and 2008, Bryant-Littles failed to report or assess personal property tax on six vehicles, a motorcycle, two tractors, three utility and flat-bed trailers, a horse trailer, and more than 100 head of cattle.

U.S. Attorney For the Western District Of Missouri Matt Whitworth says, “as the elected Christian County Assessor, Sandra Bryant-Littles was charged with the duty to honestly assess property owners for the value of their taxable personal property,” Whitworth said. “The federal indictment alleges that she shirked this duty when it came to her own property. Bryant-Littles allegedly lied on her own assessment forms as part of a scheme to defraud the taxpayers and voters of Christian County.”

Bryant-Littles husband, Lonnie Utah Littles, 61, and an employee at their ranch, Jesse Rice, 56, also have been indicted for conspiracy to commit bank fraud.

Jesse Rice talked to KY3 about the cattle theft from Paco Cala Ranch last February

According to the indictments, Littles obtained a $105,000 line of credit from Liberty Bank using his cattle as collateral. Between January 2008 and March 3, 2009, Littles sold at least 63 head of cattle that had been used as collateral without the knowledge or permission of Liberty Bank.

The indictments also alleges that Lonnie Littles attempted to scam his insurance company by claiming that Poco Cala Ranch had been the victim of a cattle rustlers.

Whitworth says, "Littles contacted his insurance representative on Dec. 17, 2008, in order to increase his insurance coverage on his cattle from $60,000 to $100,000, according to the indictment. On Feb. 8, 2009, Rice contacted the Christian County Sheriff’s Department to report the theft of 53 head of cattle, although he allegedly knew that no cattle had been stolen. On the same day, the indictment says, Littles filed a fraudulent insurance claim for $66,250. Rice provided two on-camera interviews with local television stations regarding the purported cattle theft."

Rice faces a single count of bank fraud.

The only people who can remove Bryant-Littles from office is Christian County prosecutor Ron Cleek or Attorney General Chris Koster.

Chrisitan County Prosecutor Ron Cleek

Cleek says, "I'm not going to remove her right now...she may do the right thing and resign. If not, we will have to wait for her to plead out or be convicted, because at this point all the charges are mere allegations."

UPDATED---Developing: Murder Investigation In Springfield:

Police in Springfield are investigating a murder on the city's North side today.

A little after two before morning (10-14-09) a call came in to 9-1-1 from a man who said that he needed talk to officers at 2218 N. Campbell.

When cops got to the house they were met on the front porch by Girard Grenier and his mother, Lynda Jacobs. Grenier told the responding officers that he had killed his "wife."

Grenier then let the officers in the house where they discovered twenty eight year-old Marie Godwin, who was lying on the couch partially covered by a blanket, dead.

Court documents say that Jacobs told investigators that her son called her about 9 p.m. and told her he needed to talk to her. He then went to her house and picked her and told her that he killed his girlfriend, "with his bare hands."

Grenier, the woman's thirty one year-old live-in boyfriend, was taken into custody and has been charged with second-degree murder.

A neighbor of the couple, Chris Lewis, says there was a lot of arguing and fighting that went on at the couples house. He says that Grenier and his girlfriend drank a lot.....and fought a lot.

More Federal Sex Charges For Former Camp Counselor And Radio DJ:

Former YMCA camp counselor and radio personality Matthew James O'Dell is facing some new federal sex charges involving children.

Federal prosecutors announced today that a grand jury has returned a two-count superseding indictment against the twenty six year-old man for sexual exploitation of a minor and possession of kiddie porn.

This replaces the original grand jury indictment, which was handed up by a federal grand jury on September 15, 2009.

The new federal charges allege that between January 1, 2005 and May 30, 2006, O'Dell, with the help of another person, used a minor to make sexually explicit child pornography. He's also accused of possessing child porn on August 4, 2009.

Authorities began investigating O'Dell after a teen aged boy said that he tried to sexually assault him in a Springfield motel room.

Investigators say that O'Dell allegedly set up a fake MySpace profile and posed as a girl named Hannah. He used that ruse to lure the boy to Camp Wokanda where Hannah was supposed to meet them.

Once the boy got to the camp O'Dell told the him that he was Hannahs cousin and that she wouldn't be able to meet them at the camp. He then convinced the boy to go with him to a motel to "meet Hannah."

The boy told cops that while they were at the motel O'Dell allegedly fondled him and attempted to have anal sex with him. At some point during the night the boy was able to look at O'Dells phone and realized that he was posing as Hannah and bolted from the room.

Just last week O'Dell was in court in Greene County for his preliminary hearing on state charges of statutory sodomy with a child. Prosecutor Jill Geary Patterson was in the process of filing a motion to ask the court for a contiuance so that investigators could finish conducting interviews with other potential victims when O'Dells attorney waived the hearing.

Patterson says that investigators have fielded hundreds of phone calls about O'Dell and conducted numerous interviews with potential victims.

Since O'Dells attorney, Nancy Graven Price, waived her clients right to a preliminary hearing, O'Dell was automatically bound over for trial at that time.

Prosecutors will now have to decide if they want to let the original charge stand, or dismiss it and re-file additional charges against him.

O'Dell, who is in federal custody, is due scheduled to appear in courtrooms on the state and federal charges on October 16, 2009.
