Judge Alan Blankenship is expected to make a ruling this week rule on a bond reduction motion for a firefighter facing charges of statutory sodomy.
Prosecutor's say Matthew Charles Anderson, 26, of Reeds Spring, who is being held on $100,000 bond, allegedly inappropriately touched a six year-old girl on November 14th.
When Anderson appeared in court on December 11th, Blankenship told him that this charge "is one of the most serious crimes we deal with" and if he does lower his bail, it won't be less than $50,000.
Anderson, who has been employed by the Southern Stone County Fire Protection District for ten years has been placed on suspension pending the outcome of the case, is the third employee with SSCFPD to be charged with sex crimes involving children. The other two were dismissed after being convicted.
If Anderson is convicted, he could be facing up to life in prison.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 22, 2013.
