Attorney's for two people charged with the murder's of Rebecca and Rusty Porter have asked the court to move their trials out of southwest Missouri.
A grand jury handed down murder indictments against Tony Lee Friend, 44, of Springfield and Dusty Ray Hicks, 25, of Walnut Grove last month. They also face charges of felonious restraint and armed criminal action connected to the couples murders.
No date has been set yet for a ruling on the change of venue motions, but they may be taken up on December 13th when the pair is due back in court.
It is expected that attorney's for twenty six year-old Phillip Lee Friend, who is Tony Friend's son, will make a similar motion. Phillip Friend, who is facing the same charges as his father, was arraigned in circuit court last week and is due back in court on December 6th.
