A Branson entertainer says a woman from Crane was negligent when she caused a crash that injured him in September of 2010.
Lawyers for Jay Osmond, 58, of Orem, Utah, and a member of the Osmond Brothers who have performed in Branson for several years, say Carrie Maddocks ran her 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer into the back of Osmond's car at Missouri 165 and Green Mountain Drive in Branson.
Court documents say that Osmond sustained "bodily injury, pain and suffering to his right shoulder, neck back and head as well as loss of enjoyment of life" from injuries associated with the wreck.
They go on to say that Osmond "has incurred expenses for medical and health care treatment, including surgery, and will incur additional expenses in the future." They also state that Osmond "continues to have pain, suffering, emotional and physical distress, loss of life and inconvenience," and that he "has sustained and will continue to suffer wage loss and lost earning capacity," due to the wreck.
The lawsuit alleges that Maddocks "drove her vehicle too fast for conditions existing at the time" and she "operated her vehicle in a careless, negligent and reckless manner."
Lawyers are asking that their fees be paid and "further relief as the court sees just and proper under the circumstances."
