The Stone County Sheriff's Office will hold an auction on Saturday January 18th to help clear up a back log of surplus property.
Some of the items to be auctioned include over 75 guns (including hand guns and rifles,) knives, tools, kayaks and a generator. Two trucks, a trailer and a variety of other items will hit the auction block at 10 a.m. Those who purchase a firearm will have to undergo an NCIC background check.
Merritt Family Auctions says if there is inclement weather on the 18th, the auction will be rescheduled for January 25th.
