A woman from Shell Knob has been charged with first-degree assault after she allegedly stabbed her girlfriend during an arugument.

Court records state that Sharon Dianne Masterson, 47, cut through the victims earlobe and sliced the woman's neck with a "boot knife" in the assault.

The victim was transported by ambulance to Cox South in Springfield for treatment.

Masterson is being held in the Stone County jail on $50,000 bond.
