Trial dates have been set for two people charged with first-degree murder in connection to the 2011 murders of Rusty and Becky Porter.

The Porter's went missing from their home near Willard in April of 2011.  Their remains were found later that summer in a heavily wooded area in rural Taney County.

The trial for Rusty Porter's uncle, Robert Campbell, 68, who is free on bond, is scheduled for October 16, 2014.  Attorney's for Campbell asked for a change of venue and Judge Mark Orr ruled that a jury from another county, which thus far has not been named, will be brought to Taney County to hear the case.

Dusty Hicks' trial date has been set for May 9, 2014.  A jury from another county will also hear that case.  

Tony and Windy Friend

So far there have been no trial dates set for Tony Friend and Windy Friend who are also facing murder charges connected to the Porter's homicides.

Tony Friend's son, Phillip, pleaded guilty to amended charges of two counts of second-degree murder and felonious restraint last month.  He was sentenced to 7 years in prison on the felonious restraint convictions and will be sentenced at a later date on the murder convictions.
