It appears that for the second time in less than a month there has been a homicide at a Branson hotel.

Authorities are investigating a murder/suicide at the Queen Anne Motel on Highway 76.  The investigation was launched shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday (03-09-13) after authorities received a call about shots fired at the hotel.

When authorities arrived, they found one person deceased and another clinging to life and transported them to Cox Hospital in Branson.  That person died shortly after arriving at the hospital.

No names have been released, but Assistant Police Chief Stan Dobbin says he believes the people were visiting the area.

Marilyn Jean Brown, who had recently moved to the Branson area from Palm Springs, California, was found shot to death in a room at the Ramada Inn Conference and Resort on February 24th.  Her husband, Thomas Phillip Brown, has been charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action.
