Sonya June Waisner (mug shot SCSO) A woman from Crane is facing drug charges after she allegedly fraudulently obtained someone else's prescription medication from a local pharmacy. Court documents say that Heidi Starr called Lakeland Pharmacy on December 27th to see if her hydrocodone was ready to be picked up. When Starr went to the pharmacy to get her medicine, she was told that it had already been picked up by Sonya June Waisner, 47. When authorities asked for permission to search Wainser's home for the stolen drugs she denied the request. However, after being show surveillance photo's of a red vehicle, she admitted she had been there. When an officer asked Waisner for identification she told them it was in her house and gave him permission to go into the house and retrieve her purse. " I told Sonya that while I was trying to find her wallet, I saw several medication bottles in her purse and one did not have a prescription label on it." Several pills were found in a bottle without a label and another with the name Heidi Starr were allegedly found in Waisner's purse. Waisner did have prescription medication in her purse with her name on it and the officer told her he could take that bottle with them to the jail since it was prescribed to her. "Sonya stated she did not want me to bring it because she would not be there long." Waisner is being held in the Stone County jail on a $30,000 cash only bond. |
