Cassidy Michael Waghorn (mug shot SCSO) A young man from Reeds Spring was bound over for trial on possession of child pornography charges after he waived his preliminary hearing on January 15th. . Authorities charged Cassidy Michael Waghorn, 23, last August after an Internet Task Force detective in Nixa alerted authorities in Stone County to the location of a computer that was allegedly sharing child sexual abuse photos on line. The Nixa officer told investigator's that the computer had also downloaded some of those files to his forensic computer in Nixa. When authorities executed a search warrant at a home on DD Highway, detectives used specialized forensic on-scene examination software and allegedly located the images that were downloaded to the Nixa officers computer on a lap owned by Waghorn. Waghorn, who is free on bond, will be formally arraigned in circuit court on February 5th. |
