Taney County Road And Bridge Fires 13 Employees:

Citing budget concerns, commissioners in Taney County have eliminated 13 positions in the county's road and bridge department.



Bob Paulson, attorney for the commission, says "more money was being spent in expenditures than what was coming in." Paulson says that with the economic downturn that everyone is experiencing cuts had to be made for the long term health of the Road and Bridge Department."

Budget concerns and a desire for more efficient operations led to the elimination of 13 positions at Taney County Road and Bridge today.


The positions eliminated were selected based upon a determination of what was in the best interests of the Taney County taxpayers and the efficient operation of Taney County Road and Bridge.
