Oscar Richardson, the fugitive who was on the run for 30 years, after escaping from a Florida work release center in 1979 for two counts of armed robbery, was arrested for a second time at his home in Ridgedale on Friday(01-08-10) for allegedly not paying state taxes for 2007, 2008 and 2009.
He made his way to Missouri where he assumed the identity of his father and worked as a handyman for a members of the Herschend family who own Silver Dollar City, he also owned a landscaping company.
When he was arrested in December Taney County Judge Tony Williams set his bail at $25,000 which he quickly posted much to the chagrin of Florida officials.
Richardson is currently being held, without bail, in the Taney County Jail and scheduled to be arraigned at 9:00 a.m (01-11-10.)
A Governors warrant out of Florida has been issued and Richardson's attorney, Dee Wampler, says that he will be exdridated there shortly.
