Crane, Mo.- Authorities in Stone County are searching for the person who phoned in a bomb threat to a bank this afternoon. Sheriff Doug Rader says someone called Liberty Bank and said there was a bomb inside the building and also on two Crane school buses.
“Thank God Crane schools weren’t in session,” said Rader. “We were in constant contact with Dr. Shaw (Crane school superintendent) and bank officials.”
Several customers who attempted to get on to bank property were turned away by investigators. Rader says his officers were at the bank for several hours collecting evidence.
“We’re working hard to figure out who did this,” he said. “We’ll get ‘em.”
