Kyle Wayne Larue A statutory sodomy trial scheduled to be heard late this month has been cancelled following the death of the alleged perpetrator. Authorities say Kyle Wayne Larue, 54, allegedly sexually assaulted a 15 year-old boy in the bathroom at the Wal-Mart in Branson West in January 2012. Stone County Prosecutor Matt Selby says Larue posed as a 15 year-old named "Jeremy" on mbuzzy.com and lured the teen to the bathroom where the victim was forced to perform oral sex on Larue. The teen told authorities that after he was sexually assaulted he followed Larue to his vehicle, that had distinctive black tribal artwork on the side of the truck, but got out when Larue started the vehicle. Video surveillance from multiple sources and an emergency trace on Larue 's phone led investigators to his former residence in Hollister where he arrested. According to an online obituary, Larue, an elementary school teacher died on May 30th. |

Do we know how he died? Car accident? Suicide? Heart attack?
He died after an extended illness, according to prosecutor Matt Selby.
