A Southern Stone County volunteer firefighter charged with statutory sodomy has formally pleaded not guilty in circuit court.
In January, Matthew Anderson, 26, of Branson West waived his preliminary hearing in January and was automatically bound over for trial. entered a plea of not guilty. Court documents allege that Anderson inappropriately touched a 6-year-old girl last fall.
Anderson, who was released with strict bond conditions, is on administrative leave from Southern Stone County Fire Protection District pending the outcome of the allegations against him.
Anderson is scheduled to reappear in court on May 7th.
