A woman from Reeds Spring is facing charges of endangering the welfare of a child after authorities found the home where she and her three children were living covered in dog feces.

According to the probable cause statement, Shelly Nicole Reynolds, 32, allowed an alleged drug abuser with psychological problems and not related to her children, sleep in the same room with the children.

Court documents say that windows were broken throughout the home, and the children were sleeping on a mattress on the floor that was littered with dog excrement.

Reynolds, who is due back in court next week, was released after posting $5,000 bond.
