Michael Schupbach (mug shot SCSO) A trial date is expected to be set in March for an Ozark man who is accused of raping his estranged wife at a construction site in Stone County in August of 2011. Authorities says Michael Schupbach threatened the woman and then sexually assaulted her on two separate occasions at the job site. Schupbach's estranged wife told the court at his preliminary hearing that he allegedly let another man sexually assault his wife during a drug transaction. Prosecutor Matt Selby immediately filed additional charges of trafficking for the purposes of sexual exploitation against Schupbach. Shupbach's attorney, Stacie Bilyeu, says the woman only came forward for financial gain after Schupbach inherited some money and property. Bilyeu and Selby are to submit written conflict dates in order to get the trial, which is expected to take five days, on the docket. |
