The woman whose arrest in May led to assault of a law enforcement officer charges being filed against Crane alderwoman Jessica White has pleaded guilty to similar charges filed against her.
Twenty-three year old Brittany Barnett of Brookline Station was sentenced to one year of unsupervised probation and 20 hours of community service in exchange for her guilty plea. Barnett was charged with assault of a law enforcement officer after deputies arrested her husband, Thomas Barnett, on an outstanding municipal warrant out of Crane.
The incident occurred in the driveway of Barnett's cousin, Jessica White.
White claims that two deputies used excessive force and unlawfully detained her family in the incident. Her husband Jordan White and his father Donald White were charged with interfering with an arrest in the incident.
A trial date is expected to be set when the White's appear in court on December 11th.
