A third defendant charged with murder for the deaths of Rusty and Rebbecca Porter has asked the court to move his trial out of Taney County.
Attorney's for Phillip Friend, who was indicted by a grand jury earlier this month, made the motion on November 20th, according to online court records. He’s scheduled to be arraigned in circuity court on December 6th.

Friend’s father, Tony Friend, 44, of Springfield, and Dusty Hicks, 24, of Walnut Grove made similar motions earlier. All three are charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of felonious restraint and armed criminal action. They are scheduled to appear in court on December 13th

The remains of the Porters were found in July of 2011 in a rural area of Taney County off Protem-Cedarcreek Road, three months after they vanished from their home near Willard.
