A man from Hollister was sentenced to six years in prison after he entered an Alford plea to possession of chemicals with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine.
In April of this year, Christopher Aaron Roesel, 38, was pulled over by police in Branson West after they were tipped off that Roesel had purchased several items used to manufacture meth. Authorities also found several other items used to manufacture the drug in Roesel's vehicle.
Also charged in the case was Anita Sue McNary, 36, of Branson, who has already pleaded guilty and was sentenced to five years probation.

Roesel, who accepted a plea bargain on the last day it was offered by the state, told Judge Alan Blankenship that he was upset that his attorney had not gotten him a five year sentence.
His Stone County sentence will be served concurrently to sentences out of Jasper and Newton County for similar charges.
