Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery and his office will be featured on the national television show, ‘America's Most Wanted' this Saturday night (March 13 at 8 CST on FOX).
Montgomery was nominated for the America's Most Wanted All Star Award and has been voted the winner of week 3.
Montgomery says, "It is truly an honor to not only be nominated, but to be named as one of eight national finalists for this award. This is a direct reflection of the hard work and dedication of our officers and staff of the Baxter County Sheriff's Office and gives us a chance to showcase Baxter County and Arkansas."
A television film crew spent about five hours Tuesday interviewing Sheriff Montgomery, Captain Jeff Lewis and Brenda Johnson, who nominated Montgomery the award.
"I am very proud that the entire country will be able to see our professional organization and the outstanding people who work here, "said Montgomery.
As a result of the national exposure AMW has brought to the Baxter County Sheriff's Office, Montgomery has been asked to make a guest appearance on a talk radio show in Los Angeles called ‘Justice Interrupted'.
The show is hosted by Robin Sax (a prosecutor/author) and Stacy Dittrich (a police officer/author). After learning of the tough stance Montgomery uses on sex offenders, they invited Montgomery to be a call-in guest to talk about sex offenders and how my office's handles them and the public notifications we provide when they move into our county.
You can tune in to Justice Interrputed Sunday evening March 14th (via Internet) at 7 pm by going www.blogtalkradio.com/justiceinterrupted.

Don't let the nomination fool you. This man only does what is best for him. He does NOT lookout for the general public. The Judicial System in Mountain Home,Ar is ver corrupt. Know your facts before posting things like these..
Baxter County Arkansas Sheriff's Chief Deputy Captain Jeff Lewis made these disrespectful comments about President Obama on the social network website policelink.com.
"Send Obama to the front line and let him personally lead the unarmed officers. It would only take about 2 seconds for that spineless wonder to make a bee line back to the rose garden."
