A Waynesville police officer out on routine patrol this morning (02-16-10) found a large stash of drugs after observing several vehicles at Whitmore Farms in west Waynesville.

An investigation of the activity led to the seizure of 89 pounds of methamphetamine and 99.6 pounds of cocaine. The methamphetamine has an estimated street value of $4.1 million, while the cocaine has an estimated street value of $6.1 million.

The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Waynesville Police Department. Further information will be available upon completion of the investigation.

Waynesville Police Lt. Gary Brankel said in a statement he would like to thank the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department and the St. Robert Police Department for their assistance.
