The father of the little boy found dead last weekend in the Spring River will be formally arraigned on charges of filing a fasle police report on Thursday.
Twenty nine year-old Eddie Salazar Sr. told cops that two masked men broke into his Carthage home, beat him up and kidnapped his 8-month-old baby Eddie. That story triggered a two day statewide Amber Alert for baby Eddie.
Authorities say that the elder Salazar named a suspect who stole his baby but cops were able to discount that story. Salazar later told them he lied about the incident.
No other charges related to the case have been filed at this time.
Cameras will be allowed in the courtroom for the 8:30 a.m. hearing.
