A preliminary hearing date has been scheduled for the man accused of allegedly killing his wife and encasing her body in concrete.Hunters found the body of a woman covered in concrete in a black plastic toolbox on the opening day of firearms deer season in November. For more than a month the woman was known as "The lady in the box." Laclede County authorities appealed to the public for help in identifying the woman.
Almost a month later investigators identified the woman as Sharon Sabla and charged her husband Horst Sabla with first degree murder and armed criminal action in her death.
The next step is the preliminary hearing where a judge will decide if there is enough evidence for the state to proceed to trial. It is scheduled to be held on January 28th, 2009.
