» Celebration of life for Cassidy Rainwater to be held August 16th:
Kathee Baird
August 4, 2024
Just over three years ago Cassidy Rainwater-Paul was murdered by James Phelps and Timothy Norton in Dallas County, Missouri.
Her children, siblings, aunts, uncles, and numerous other family members and friends who were like family to Cassie will finally be able to lay her to rest. The children and Cora Terry, who Cassidy called Aunt Corrie, suffered with every court hearing and eventual plea deals in the case. Cassidy's remains couldn't be released to the family until several months after the plea deals for legal reasons, according to Terry.
On Friday, August 16th at one p.m., at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon, Missouri, Cassidy's children will finally get to celebrate her life and lay her to rest.
The following is a statement from her children:
Three years ago our mother, Cassidy Rainwater-Paul, was brutally murdered in Dallas County, Missouri.
We had to wait to lay her to rest until there were final resolutions in the cases of the men who murdered her. On Friday, August 16th at one p.m., we will hold a celebration of life for our mother at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon.
We would like to thank all those who prayed for our family in the darkest of days and invite you to help us celebrate our mother's life.
Donations to help offset the cost of burying our mom will be graciously accepted at the funeral home.
