Stowe being sworn in by County Clerk Judy Berkstresser |
Crane native Tim Stowe was appointed to the Stone County Board of Adjustment last week.
Stowe, who made an unsuccessful bid for Northern Commissioner in 2012, is employed as show producer for Silver Dollar City.
The BOA is a five member board that determines on a case by case basis issues regarding variances and standards and hears appeals regarding planning and zoning issues, according to Joy Wilson Director of Planning and Zoning.
Northern Commissioner Mark Maples says Stowe's appointment will be a good thing for citizens in the Northern part of the county. "I think it makes things more balanced when you have representation from every part of the county, " said Maples. "We need more people to become involved in county government."
This is a four year term for Stowe.
Stowe succeeds Dick Erickson who sat on the board for several years.
