An unknown gunman got away with an undisclosed amount of cash after he robbed the Reeds Spring Pizza Company on December 30th.

Chief Daniel Chestnut says a man confronted an employee of the business at 22065 Main Street when he went out the back door of the restaurant about 9:58 p.m. to empty the trash.

After the gunman took $65.00 from the "shocked" man, he ordered the employee back inside the restaurant where three other employees and a friend of the employees were.  He then demanded money from the cash register, which the employees could not open, before he moved to the front office where he "calmly" took all the money from a till that was being counted and additional money from the other employees.

The man is described as a white male between 35 - 40 years old and about 6 foot 1 to 6 foot 2 inches tall.  He has dark hair with a goatee that could be flecked with gray.  He also might have had "5 o'clock shadow," according to the witnesses.

Chestnut says a deputy with the Stone County Sheriff's Office was on the scene within five minutes of the initial call for help.  "This will be a group investigation," said Chestnut.

If you have any information that can help lead to the arrest of the person responsible for the robbery you're asked to call the Reeds Spring police department at 417-272-3107 or the Stone County Sheriff's Office at 417-357-6116 or 9-1-1.
