A man from Branson was charged with possession of child pornography after he consented to a search of his vehicle at a sobriety checkpoint at Dewey Short Visitors Center.
Court records say authorities found images of child pornography in Archie Ambrose Gomez's possession during the search on November 30th. Gomez had allegedly altered pictures of an underage family member and attached them to pornographic images, according to the probable cause statement.
Gomez, 68, is being held in the Stone County jail on $50,000 bond.
