Brandi Zamora (mug shot SCSO)

A woman who led police on a chase that spanned multiple jurisdictions waived her preliminary hearing and was bound over for trial last week.
In July, a Stone County Deputy stopped Brandi Danielle Zamora, 26, of Littleton, Colorado, for speeding and not displaying license tags near Kimberling City.  When the deputy approached the vehicle, Zamora allegedly sped off and hit a civilian's car on the Kimberling City bridge.  She also hit two sheriff's cruisers during the pursuit, which looped through Stone and Barry counties.  The chase ended when Zamora slammed the stolen vehicle into a tree near McCord Bend in an attempt to avoid stop sticks that had been deployed.
According to court records, “syringes, baggies, rolling papers, a glass pipe with residue and a clear plastic container with a white lid, which had a white residue inside of it that tested positive for methamphetamine” was found during a search of the stolen vehicle.
Zamora is facing three counts of armed criminal action, tampering with a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property and possession of a controlled substance.
She remains jailed on $500,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned in circuit court on October 17th.
