Christopher Thomas Parsons (mug shot LCSO) |
A man from Aurora was charged with three counts of statutory rape after a 13 year-old girl told authorities that he had inappropriate sexual contact with her.
According to the probable cause statement, the girl told investigators in February of this year that her stepfather, Christopher T. Parsons, had sex with her on three separate occasions in 2001 when they lived at 312 N. Hemphill in Crane.
Parsons, 35, is also facing a single count of child molestation in Lawrence County. In the probable cause statement filed in the Lawrence County case, the girl told investigators in January that Parsons raped her and that her mother, who does not believe the allegations, put her in a hospital for mental health and anger management issues.
During the interview the girl told investigators that Parsons also sexually abused her while the family lived in Oklahoma. She said she will be mad if Parsons does not go to jail because she "feels responsible for her younger siblings protection."
In 2001, Parsons was placed on three years probation in Cattaraugus County, New York after he was found guilty of two counts of sexual misconduct.
Parsons is being held in the Stone County jail on $100,000 bond.
