A former resident of Lampe who has been charged with rape for a 2004 incident has asked the court to reduce his bond.

Robert Duane Myers, 62, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, has been in the Stone County jail on $100,000 bond since his arrest on December 20, 2012.
-
Myers attorney, John Lewright, filed the motion for the bond reduction on January 23, according to online court records.
-
-
Charging documents allege that a woman, who was in a relationship with Myers and says she has no recollection of the incident, discovered a videotape of him sexually assaulting her which is believed to have taken place in late 2004.
-
-
The woman told authorities she did not voluntarily take any substance that would have impaired her physically or mentally.
-
-
The probable cause statement says, “Any substance administered would have been without her knowledge or consent against her will."
-
-
Myers could face anywhere from five years to life in prison if he is convicted of forcible rape. He is scheduled to appear in court this week.
