Robert Duane Myers (mug shot SCSO)

A former resident of Stone County is facing charges of forcible rape after his alleged victim found videotaped evidence of him raping her while she was unconscious.

Court documents say that Robert Duane Myers, 62, resided with DKM in a house in Lampe from September thru December of 2004 and that she later discovered a videotape of the man sexually assaulting her.

DKM told authorities that she "has no memory of the incident/s and she did not voluntarily take any substance that would render her to that state of physical or mental impairment and that any substance administered would have been without her knowledge or consent and against her will."

Myers, who know resides in Muskogee, Oklahoma, has been bound over for trial and will be formally arrainged in circuit court on January 8th.  He is being held on $100,000 bond.

Comment is about Robert Myers rape charge.
Why did you name the alleged victim? Shouldn't a sexual assault victim's name be kept confidential? I know it's not necessarily the law, but isn't that what rape shield laws are for and a journalist's responsibility to protect a sex crime victim?

I wrestled with that dilemma so much that I contacted the proscutor in the case....wife, lover, etc., further identified her.

Isn't there a resemblance to Robert Myers and the photos from an earlier story in the news about a suspect the FBI is trying to identify. Just add 30 or so pounds to this picture and it looks similiar to the unknown man. Check out the photos and judge for yourself..... www.fbi.gov/wanted/ecap/unknown-suspect-4/view
