Kyle Filbeck (mug shot SCSO) |
Judge Alan Blankenship has taken a bond reduction motion under advisement in the case of a Galena man who authorities say allegedly threatened to kill two people he assaulted.
Authorities say Kyle Levi Filbeck, 20, was a passenger in a moving truck on November 25th when he assaulted another passenger and the driver of the vehicle. Court records say Filbeck then attempted to run the men over in McCord Bend Estates and operated the vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner, according to court documents.
When authorities went to Filbeck's home to question him about the alleged incident, he resisted arrest, according to the probable cause statement.
At Tuesday's (12-18) court appearance, Filbeck's attorney told the court that he and his brother are the sole caregivers for an elderly grandparent.
In June, Filbeck was placed on four years probation after he pleaded to charges of tampering with a motor vehicle and possession of burglary tools in Barry County.
He also has another assualt case pending in Stone County connected to an alleged unrelated assault from December of 2011.
Filbeck, who is being held in the Stone County jail on $20,000 bond, is due back in court on January 5th.
