Breck Fleming Wakefield (mug shot SCSO)

It appears that a man from Branson West aptly named named his business Predator World.

Stone County prosecutor Matt Selby has charged Bruce Fleming Wakefield, 46, with ten counts of statutory sodomy and two counts of sexual misconduct.

According to the probable cause statement, Wakefield allegedly assaulted two underage boys who worked or volunteered at Predator World (formerly known as Reptile Gardens) from 2001 through 2008. The former employees told investigators that Wakefield had sexual contact with them at his business and at his his home in Branson West.

Court documents says Wakefield even molested one of the victims, who was confined to a wheelchair after a tiger attack at the business in 2008, while he was receiving treatment for his injuries in St. Louis.  The alleged victim filed a lawsuit against Wakefield and the company following the tiger attackhat was settled out of court in 2011, with a “Supplemental Needs Trust” created for the victim.

The man who is now twenty years-old told investigators he was thirteen years-old in 2005 when the abuse started and it and continued until he was seventeen. He says he told Wakefield he wanted the abuse to stop in 2006, but Wakefield gave him special treatment at the zoo and would "pay him money for sex." The alleged victim told investigators that he also accompanied Wakefield on numerous out of state trips.

The other victim, who is now twenty seven years-old, alleges that he was underage when he entered into a sexual relationship with Wakefield in 2001, and that the incidents occurred on an almost daily basis until 2007.

In a news release Sheriff Richard Hill say Wakefield "provided them with alcohol and made sexual advances while they were in diminished mental capacity due to the alcohol consumption."

If Wakefield, who is being held on $150,000 bond, is convicted he could receive up to seven years on each of the statutory sodomy charges and four years on each of the sexual misconduct charges, according to Selby.
