Phillip Ray Winchester (mug shot SCSO) |
A man who had apparently been living with his girlfriend at the Shoals Campground near Galena was charged with domestic assault after allegedly assaulting the woman over a three day period last month.
Deputy Jeremy Girens writes in the probable cause statement that Phillip Ray Winchester, 37, hit the woman in the head and knocked her to the ground, which caused injury to her hand, on September 10th. The woman told authorities that Winchester threw a baby bottle at her, which hit her in the eye, the next day. The woman says Winchester also hit her in the ear on the parking lot of Wal-Mart in Branson West on September 14th.
The preliminary hearing for Winchester, who is being held on $5,000 bond, is scheduled for October 16th.

Homeless man charged with domestic assault? Kind of seems like a contradiction.
It is an Oxy, isn't it. In this case it measn that he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend. It doesn't matter where the abuse takes place, (home, car or in this case, tent.)
