| Eugene K. Crider is now charged with murder |
A third person has now been charged with murder in connection to the February disappearance of a Highlandville man.
On May 7th Stone County prosecutor Matt Selby charged Eugene "Gene" K. Crider, 42, with first-degree murder. Crider was charged in March with tampering with physical evidence in connection to the disappearance of Carl Glenn Anderson.

Crider lived with Teri Dean-Morrison and Cheryl Crawford at 263 Akita Run near Hootentown. In early March investigators found blood throughout the home that lab tests determined belonged to Anderson.

Anderson was last seen at a party at the Hootentown address, according to authorities.
According to the probable cause statement filed against Crider, "On 02-27-12 Eugene admitted to a witness that Carl Anderson was beaten to death with a hammer and that during the attack he broke the window's and door when he (Anderson) attempted to flea (sic). Eugene also admitted that he disposed of Carl Anderson's body by burning it and he asked to use her vehicle to move his remains."
In the probable cause statement's filed against Dean-Morrison and Crawford, who are also charged with first-degree murder, investigators said that home was cleaned up and some of its contents were burned, moved and/or replaced in an effort to conceal Anderson’s murder.
Stone County Detective Matt Maggard writes in the newest probable cause affidavit, "Eugene Crider was aware that evidence of Anderson being murdered was found and that evidence that he had helped dispose of the body was located. On 03-06-12 a shovel and gas can were observed in the back of his pickup. On 03-07-12 he left the residence and on 3-8 the truck was parked and left at Wal-Mart in Springfield to avoid law enforcement from finding it. Eugene later had Krystal Buras remove and hide items from his truck including the shovel."

Last month, Krystal Nicole Buras, 30, of Spring, Texas, was arrested and charged with tampering with physical evidence when she attempted to visit Crider at the Stone County jail.
When Crider, Crawford and Dean-Morrison were arrested near Lake Ozark on March 9th their cell phones were confiscated and proved to be a valuable tool in pinpointing the areas the trio had been.
One of the places the suspects had spent a considerable amount of time at was the rural property of Earl Kearney off of Highway OO near Reeds Spring. Kearney is a former boyfriend of Dean-Morrison.
A search warrant was granted on March 19th for investigator's to search Kearney property. It was during a second search of Kearney's property on March 21st that detectives found human remains in a pond. The Missouri Highway Patrol Crime Lab determined that the remains belonged to Anderson.
Crider, Crawford and Dean-Morrison remain jailed on $1 Million dollars bond each. Crider is due back in court on May 22nd.
Crawford and Dean-Morrison are scheduled to have a dual preliminary hearing on May 25th.

The family of Mr Anderson deserve a quick and speedy trial. The wretches who commited this horrible crime need to be punished to the furtherest extent of the law.

This is so awful for so many people but I want to say that Teris kids are innocent as well as all family members of everyone involved. Try to remember this.Also that there is no way either of these woman killed this man with a hammer because Carl would have taken it away from these women, it simply had to be Gene Crider and as large as Carl was also had to be Gene who disposed of this mans remains. Calm down and think rationally everyone. It was horrible what Carl went through but not everyone of those 3 people planned and hammered and burned him. Use your common sense there is more to this story calm down and think so the right person or persons actually pay is all I think.
Eugene had total control of these girls. Imagine how scared they must have been and what he might have done to them if they didn't do what he said.

You are right Those dykes lured a good innocent man who wanted nothing more than friendship to Teri's bedroom to kill him with a hammer. Because they hate men so much they picked they best one they knew never mind it was going to be a big bloody mess that was going to cost a lot of money to replace carpeting , a broken door and windows it was so worth it. You are right Gene was an innocent bystander who was also lured into helping these nasty dykes afterward.

Does anyone know Gene Crider? He just got out of Federal Pen last Nov. after serving 10 years for armed robbery. He was in with Teri Dean's brother and was staying in a camper outside of her home supposedly as protection.
I do feel sorry for the children left behind. If parents would have been parenting their children and doing what they were suppose to, none of this would have happened, shame on a mother not caring about her children's future. Also..LOL..to the person who said two women could not possibly take a man down with a hammer..really LOL...someone takes a blow to the back of the head with a hammer you're going down. I am the one who said they didn't take him down and I NEVER said a woman couldn't take a man down with a hammer. The fact is carl was 210lbs , Teri was 90lbs and Cheryl was 145lbs. The fact that he ran from the person with the hammer and was not brought down immediately was able to break the bedroom door and bedroom windows out and they are across the room from each otherbefore being killed tell any person with any brains and obviously you do not have any that he was able to run he was able to turn around and knock theses women down if one had a hammer. Must've been Gene who is a very large muscular man that was chasing him. Have any one of you so quick to jump on the guilty bandwagon thought about why a woman would want a man killed in her bedroom and make such a mess? I do not like Teri Dean. I think she is the worst type of using, uncaring, and selfish bitch I have ever met. Surely any inbred idiot around here should know that man was not at tei's house in her bedroom because he was so innocent and naive as to think he was visiting friends.He has a record and it isn't pretty and not saying he deserved this but really people he is not an innocent victim. I have been told Eugene only did what Teri wanted and that was to threaten Carl and it got out of control so Eugene killed him in the process. Teri and Eugene then went to a friend of Teri's who was out of town burned his body and put it in a pond there. They also bought windows to replace the ones Carl broke trying to get away and save his life as well as carpet, paint ect to hide his death. What Teri Dean wants Teri Dean gets as usual.

I just don't understand people nowadays. I have a friend who knew Carl and says he was a good guy and I have known her my whole life. Why would people do something like this? I thought of moving to this area and now I will not. I hope these people get the death penalty.

I knew Carl, Gene and Teri personally, and I was one of the last people to see him alive, I know Teri was angry about a drug deal because I was there. Carl, Teri and a woman named Jannie were the last people with him before he went to Gene & Teri's house. I am shocked they have not caught Jannie, she was served to come in to trial (sopnea?) and never did.. I kno she had something to do with it because she was at that house the 3 days after he was murdered. Carl may have been a pervert and a druggie, but he didn't deserve to suffer. He wouldn't have survived 3 days missing without his medication. RIP CARL
I agree that Janie had a lot to do with this. As for Cheryl only getting 8 years tit is because that is what she deserved. She didn't kill Carl and was not present when he was taken to Teri's boyfriends house and burned. What Cheryl did was help clean up Teri's house and cover up the crime. It is called tampering with physical evidence and that is what she plead guilty to exactly what she was guilty of so yes 8 years is proper punishment.
Was it okay? NO! but the punishment should fit the crime. I am sure Gene Crider, Teri Dean, and Janie Wanglie are far more involved in the murder than Cheryl Crawford and Krystal Buras.
I left the last comment and I just want to add I believe that Janie is the one who told Teri where the 8 ball was and was very much the instigater.
