Testimony Underway In Special Ed Teacher Charged With Child Molestation:

Testimony is underway in the trial of a former special education teacher from Forsyth charged with child molestation.

Taney County prosecutor Jeff Merrell charged Michael Hungerford, 54, in December of 2008 with inappropriately touching a little girl who was a student of Hungerford's in October of the same year.

Hungerford had been a longtime employee of the school district and was immediately placed on leave when allegations of the impropriety surfaced. He tendered his resignation several days later.

Attorney Steve Meier is representing Hungerford.
