A registered sex offender from Republic was sentenced to life in prison for raping two children of a friend who were under twelve years-old.
A jury found Scott David Todd, 49, guilty in September of statutory sodomy, child molestation and furnishing pornography to minors. Todd has a previous conviction of statutory sodomy involving a child less than twelve years old from 1998.
Greene County assistant prosecutor Jill Patterson says that Todd must serve 85% or 25.5 years of his sentence before he is eligible for parole.
