Springfield Police responded to shots fired near Broadway and State about 11:10 p.m.

Lt. Kevin Grizzell says that two men who were walking near that intersection were approached by three men who held them up at gunpoint. The suspects allegedly told the men to get on their knees and hand over their wallets.

After they gave the men their wallets the thief's told them to stand up and run. As they were running, several shot were fired in the air. Some of the bullets struck nearby houses and shattered a car window.

Cops are searching for a Hispanic male who is believed to be about 25 - 30 years-old, 5 '6" and who weighs approximately 125 pounds. He last seen wearing a black beanie, black hoodie and blue jeans.

Suspect number 2 is described as a clean cut white man about 6'1" with red hair who weighs about 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie.

The third suspect is described as a white male about 5'9" last seen wearing a black jacket.

Suspects one and two were in possession of handguns according to Grizzle.
