A Kansas City area woman and her boyfriend who pleaded guilty to sex trafficking the woman's 12 year-old daughter as a sexual dominatrix are headed to the big house.
Thirty-seven-year-old Todd Barkau and the girl’s 45-year-old mother pleaded guilty today (09-24-09) to sex trafficking of a child. The little girls mother was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison and Barkau will serve 25 years under the plea deal.
Prosecutors say that the two lived together when Barkau began having sex with the girl in 2000 when she was 12, showing her how to perform sex acts with men including bondage and sadomasochism and prostitution.
The girl was prostituted via the Internet from January 2002 to February 2005.
The name of the now 21 year-old girls mother hasn't been revealed in order to protect her daughter’s identity.
