UPDATE 6:58 p.m.---Robert/Robbie Blanton was arrested in Kansas about 12:10 a.m. on a first-degree murder warrant (three charges) for allegedly killing his aunt and uncle, Donnie and Sharon Luetjen and his cousin, Taron Luetjen. He is being held in Allen County, KS, pending extradition to Missouri on three million dollars bond.PREVIOUS: An arrest was made early this morning (sources say it was an out of state warrant) in the murders of Donnie, Sharon and Taron Luetjen.
News conference is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in Water Tower Park which is across the street from the Luetjens home.
The Luetjens were found shot to death in their Elm Street home on June 9th. Authorities have been very tight lipped about their investigation releasing minimal details about the case. Investigators believe the family were killed late Sunday June 7 or on Monday June 8th.
On June 18th Cole Camp police chief Storm Walkers weekly column in the Cole Camp Courier he said police needed more information about a white Chevrolet S10 pick-up and three or four men that were seen talking with Donnie Luetjen on Sunday June 7th.
This past Thursday, Walker said investigators were still waiting on forensic evidence to come back from the crime lab, but that they had received the Luetjens phone records, "which were minimally helpful."
