An elderly couple from Bolivar are dead....the result of a murder/suicide according to the Polk County Coroner.Investigators say that ongoing marital problems boiled over when 64 year-old Joann Sawyer went to her estranged husband Charles Guy Sawyer's home at the Rose Park Senior Citizens Center in Bolivar about 8 p. m. last night (03-21-09).
Dispatchers received a 911 call from Joann Sawyer to report a shooting. When officers responded to the apartment, they found both Charles and Joann Sawyer dead the living room floor.
Investigators have determined that Joann Sawyer went to her husbands apartment and shot him in the back and the neck before shooting herself in the chest.
Police Chief Michael Seibert said police were familiar with the couple, who have been having an on-going dispute over something that happened 14 or 15 years ago

what could have gone on 14 years that couldnt be walked away from ??
He had an affair with her best friend for over 5 years and told her about it on thier 30th anniversary which was just 4 months prior to this happening.
