When Police arrived at a house on Central Street about 5 P.M. they found 59 year-old Kathy Duda on the lawn stabbed to death.
When authorities entered the residence they found Robert Duda in his ex-wife's house. He had slit his throat and stabbed himself multiple times.
Friends say that the couple had recently divorced after 40 years of marriage
Robert Duda is in stable condition at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

He is expected to be arraigned on the murder charges on Monday (03-16-09.)
