Krystal Nicole Buras (mug shot SCSO) |
A woman who was charged with felony tampering with physical evidence in connection to the 2012 murder of Carl Anderson pled guilty to lesser charges last week.
Anderson disappeared from Teri Dean-Morrison's home near Hootentown in February of 2012. His charred dismembered remains were discovered in a pond on property belonging to a former boyfriend of Dean-Morrison's a few weeks after his disappearance.
Stone County prosecutor Matt Selby says he amended the charge against Krystal Nicole Buras to misdemeanor tampering with physical evidence shortly before the plea "based on the evidence."
Buras, of Spring, Texas, was charged after she retrieved evidence that authorities believe were used in the commission of Anderson's murder from her boyfriend, Eugene Crider's, truck. Authorities had been actively searching for Crider's vehicle for several weeks before Buras showed up to visit him in the Stone County jail, where she was arrested.
"I'm not sure she was aware of what she was getting caught up in," said Selby. "I think we had the evidence to support a felony conviction, but it would not have been the fair and just thing to do."
Buras was placed on two years unsupervised probation and could be called as a witness by the state in upcoming trials.
Dean-Morrison and Crider, who are each facing murder, armed criminal action and tampering with physical evidence charges, are scheduled to stand trial next year.
Cheryl Crawford, who had been charged with murder but pled guilty to felony tampering charges, was sentenced last September to eight years in prison.

You forgot to mention Buras PASSED a lie detector test to prove what she was telling everyone all along was true. Don't forget to put in important information into your blogs, these are people's lives you are messing with. I mean do what you got to do but get everything straight before it goes out for the world to see!
Everyone in this case has plead guilty to lessor charges or has been postponed... Where is justice for Carl?? And closure for his family????
There was no mention of her passing or failing a lie detector test in court at the time of her plea.

The justice is when Eugene Crider who murdered Carl is finally sentenced. When Teri Dean is finally sentenced for causing the murder to happen in the first place with her using everyone involved to get her way. Why would you want the people Teri used to get sentenced for killing Carl when is something they didn't do?
From my understanding you were there in the courtroom while Buras was there and you knew she was taking the lie detector test, why not add that she passed, there is some closure for his family knowing not everyone "accused" of this terrible act was involved or even heard of the name Carl Anderson before all of this occurred!
I am not going to report on something that was not disclosed in open court.
I reached out to her attorney for comment. He has not responded.

Why not answer the question from above? Why would you want the people Teri used to be sentenced for killing Carl when it's something they didn't do?
I met Carl's niece a few.days after his disappearance. She was quite distraught over it all and knew foul play was involved. Before his body was even found, she commited suicide. For some reason this is never even mentioned, but it seems to me like there is even more to the story...
Interesting how that is not mentioned at all....why has that not been put on this blog? This whole county is a joke!
Mr. Anderson's family is grieving enough...I don't think I need to add anymore to their pain by discussing what happened to the niece.

On her Facebook page before she killed herself she said she was upset her boyfriend didn't love her. She had shown concern for her uncle but appeared she killed herself over the problems with her boyfriend according to her own words. I agree there is enough pain in the family without dragging this up but since it was and made to seem she killed herself over Carl then the truth should be brought out and that is she had a drug problem and was upset over her boyfriend seeming to not love her. I don't see any sense playing on the tragedy of his niece suicide.
