Two long time members of the Stone County Emergency Services E-911 board have retired.
Tom Martin, who was elected to the Board of Directors in 2003, had served as the board chairperson since then.
Dave Wilhelm, was an original member of the first Board of Directors and was instrumental in the land acquisition and construction of the 9-1-1 command center. At the time of his retirement, Wilhelm was the Secretary/Treasurer for the board.
"Both men have been a tremendous asset to the board, their experience, thought process and personalities will be missed as we move forward in our mission," said Executive Director Ryan Martin. "The responders, citizens and visitors of Stone County owe a debt of gratitude for the time these men spent away from their families and personal lives to improve 911 services in Stone County."
