Jessica White |
Former Stone County Sheriff Richard Hill and Deputies Brandon Flack and Taylor Jenkins were scheduled to be deposed last week in the case of Crane alderwoman Jessica White.
-
White, is facing charges of assault of a law enforcement officer; her husband Jordan and father-in-law Donnie White, were charged with interfering with an arrest and/or resisting arrest after Flack and Jenkins were called to the driveway of the Whites home after a traffic stop last May.
-
White's cousin, Brittany Barnett, had been pulled over for a traffic violation. Her husband, Thomas, was arrested on an outstanding municipal warrant out of Crane. When the White's returned from an outing the encountered the officers and the Barnett's in their driveway.
-
The White's claim they were ordered to the other end of the driveway and told not to go inside their home. Attorney's for the White's maintain that there was no reason to detain their clients and that the deputies used excessive for when arresting them.
-
Hill made a statement to this reporter that White was intoxicated when she was arrested, White says that is a lie.
-
Flack resigned from the sheriff's office last summer; Jenkins is still employed by the SCSO.
-
A hearing that was to be held on February 5th was not held and will be rescheduled, according to online court records.
