Taner Garet Ellingsworth (mug shot SCSO)

A teenager from Aurora has pled guilty in a bizarre case that began in September.

Court records in Stone County say that Taner G. Ellingsorth, 18, shot three arrows at a pet turkey belonging to Vickie Cutbirth on September 23rd.  None of the arrows hit the bird, so Ellingsworth ran the turkey down with his truck, broke its neck and threw it in the back of his vehicle.

Ellingsworth was placed on probation for a year and ordered to pay Cutbirth $30.00 in restitution.
