Aurora Woman Sentenced To Prison:

A woman from Aurora charged with nine counts of forgery and identity theft was sentenced to three years in prison.

Court documents say Megan Harmon, 23, stole checks from her mother and passed them at several businesses in Stone County, Lawrence County and Greene County in 2010.  The total losses for businesses in Stone County totaled over $1,300. 

Doris Harmon told former Crane police chief Bruce Belin that her daughter sent her text messages saying she was "using the money for drugs for her and her boyfriend."

Doris Harmon told Belin that the total amount lost at one bank exceeded over $25,000.
