Michael Joe Stubblefield is facing federal charges |
The postmaster of a small town in Barry County has been charged in federal court with conspiring to rob or burglarize a convenience store and steal drugs and other valuable packages from the postal service, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.
Michael "Mike" Joe Stubblefield, 48, of Cassville, was charged Friday with conspiring to interfere with interstate commerce by threats or violence in connection with planning an alleged robbery of Uncle Roy’s convenience store in Eagle Rock.
According to an affidavit supporting the complaint, Stubblefield met with two confidential informants working with law enforcement on several occasions.
The complaint alleges conversations involved coordinating a staged robbery or burglary at the convenience store by using an employee’s access information to gain entry after the store was closed.
When that employee was fired, Stubblefield abandoned the plan of a staged robbery and turned his attention toward a possible take-over robbery, according to the affidavit.
According to court documents, "Stubblefield was involved in drug trafficking as well as a scheme in which he had secured the cooperation of at least one female United Parcel Service (UPS) driver who would provide information to Stubblefield concerning valuable items being delivered by UPS. Through the scheme, the UPS driver, not know by either confidential informant, would contact Stubblefield when she had items of value, such as gold or jewelery, destined for a UPS drop location used by UPS to transfer packages from one driver to another in a local area. Stubblefield would then task another participant in the scheme to go to the known location and steal the packages."

To prove their claim, the informants reported that Stubblefield had obtained a shipment of gold and valuable watches and had them hold the watches. "Stubblefield placed the watches in a pre-labeled USPS box and then he sealed the box with USPS tape," while he was at work as a United States postal employee.
The confidential informants taped two meetings with Stubblefield on March 27th, according to the affidavit. During the first recording made at the post office, "only a limited amount of criminal matters were discussed as customers frequented the facility during the recording."
During the second recording made at a dinner meeting, "Stubblefield freely discussed the proposed robbery of Uncle Roy's." Stubblefield told the confidential informants that they could fill up their gas tanks and portable fuel tanks and that they would get their money back after they robbed the store.
"In addition to discussing the planned robbery, Stubblefield also described how those taking part in the robbery could place cash, masks, and other items related to the robbery in USPS packaging Stubblefield would provide to those committing the robbery. Additionally, Stubblefield again discussed his utilization of co-conspirator/s at UPS, as well as drug activity he was personally involved in."
Subblefield described in detail drug shipments he had received in the past and told the CI's he was expecting a shipment of Oxycodone, Morphine and another unknown drug to be delivered in a few days, according to court documents.
On March 29th, the FBI and the United States Postal Service Office of the Inspector General teamed up with Barry County authorities in the investigation.
The confidential informants took investigators to a storage locker where the watches had been secured to "confirm the existence of the watches and the accompanying packaging described." Inside the box authorities found "five pocket watches that appeared to be very old and of significant weight."
The confidential informants had another meeting with Stubblefield and other alleged co-conspirators on March 29th at Stubblefield's home.
About 6:45 p.m. the confidential informants contacted FBI agents to tell them they were en route to Rosie's Diner in Stella to have dinner with Stubblefield and the other alleged co-conspirators, "although the cooperating witnesses did not know the name of the other co-conspirators."
Rosie's diner at 778 Ozark Street - Stella, MO |
Shortly after 8 p.m. federal agents went to Rosie's diner where they confirmed that vehicles belonging to Stubblefield, the cooperating witnesses and another vehicle whose owner could not be identified through state records were parked.
Stubblefield recently posted on the restaurant's facebook page, "Best food I've had in a long time."
When the cooperating witnesses met with authorities about 10 p.m. that night they told them the purpose of the meeting was to discuss plans for the robbery of Uncle Roy's at 10 p.m. on March 30th.
"During dinner, Stubblefield introduced two co-conspirators to the two confidential informants and then excused himself from the group after telling the four to come up with a plan for the robbery, utilizing the knowledge of CI#1, who was formally employed at the convenience store. "
The cooperating witnesses told authorities that the plan was to place fuel inside a tire and "roll it down a prominent hill" some distance from Eagle Rock. An emergency call would then be made by another participant saying a car had traveled off the road and was on fire.
Stubblefield, who has a scanner, would then contact the cooperating witnesses and co-conspirators when authorities had been dispatched to the staged accident scene so they could rob the convenience store.
Stubblefield is being held without bond in the Greene County jail.

With regards to the Uncle Roy's robbery scheme, there's far more to this story. One of the so-called informants, was supposedly more involved than her claims to the contrary. She has a criminal past for check fraud and other scams of that type. She is a chronic gambler and habitual liar.
Why is this not on local news. The area where arrested person resides.Nobody has heard much of anything at all. There should be local news regaurding the situation.
Post office Eagle rock robbery
Just very curious why it is not on local news and nobody here knows of it. Could you explain why this is?iv
It's been all over the local news. Google it and you'll find other stories.

Supposedly at least two of the co-conspirators are from Eagle Rock. One is alleged to be a convicted felon, the other has a few check fraud charges and other money related crimes. The second one is the female, who supposedly turned informant, after she wanted to cover her backside and try to remove any suspicion of her involvement. Her involvement is far deeper than what she is trying to play off on the FBI and local police. Hopefully it will come out and she is also punished for her role, instead of being given a pass.
There is no way for a person to know what is in another person's heart or mind and it makes me sick that people are saying that he just wouldn't do this kind of thing. What will you say after you hear the tape of the conversation? He was set up? Bull! He was caught. And about the informant being dirty, well, preachers aren't usually available to get this kind of information. I'm glad that when the mud got slung at least some of it hit one of the guys who was in the wrong.
I know more about this than the average bear.
I also know more about this than the average bear. I know two of the people involved, the supposed informants. One was the employee who was fired from Uncle Roy's and she was involved from the beginning of this scheme. She only turned informant once she had realized she could be facing Federal charges if she had gone through with it. Also, I would bet since it had turned from an after hours burglary to a take-over robbery during business hours, in which guns may have been used, if anyone got shot or killed, all parties are charged with the crime. The female is nothing but a scammer. It was her current husband who was friends with the postmaster and the three of them were the main ones behind the scheme. I hope they also face charges and were not let walk, simply because they ratted out the postmaster and turned informant to cover their own butts.
First of all, "Postmaster" is a job title, not a position of reverence. If a Postmaster or a supreme curt judge for that matter, helps plan a robbery and tampers with the US mail, HE needs to go to jail. Focusing on the informants sounds like you knew this jerk of a postmaster and do not want to hear bad about him.
No, I don't know the Postmaster, I do know he was friends with one of the informants and I do know a lot about the so-called informants. They are both criminals and both were a part of the original plan for the after hours burglary. I could care less what happens to the Postmaster, he made the decision to do what he has done, he deserves any and all punishments for those actions. I just don't want to see these so-called informants walk, when they were fully involved in the plan from the beginning. I'm hoping they at least get some sort of prison time for their involvement.
I also looked for local news of this event, nothing. I would think the Cassville Democrat would be all over the story. something about this just don't seem right.
You know the feds have already spoken to or will soon be speaking, to everyone involved from the ups delivery people to the delivery stations to the insurance companies. People will roll and talk aboit the part they played and agree to testify against Stubblefield. It's called a proffer and it's how cases are put to rest without taking years of valuable time. The little guys roll on the big guys who roll on the top dogs. There are people who are already talking and this was no small operation put together by a couple of snot sucking hillbillies. This was an organized operation and someone will be going down for a few years on this one.
Really, don't you people have better things to do than criticize people you don't know. As for the post master he was in the wrong. Messing w/ mail is a federal offense and he deserve what is coming to him. I'm so glad that the two informants went to the police, they help stop the criminals from harming other people. Actually we need more people to do this, then maybe it would be a better place to live.
This WAS in the Cassville Democrat, Barry County advertiser, as well as on all the local TV new stations and radio. This man is involved heavily in many things, and more things will be revealed in the coming weeks! His brother has also been arrested more than once on drug charges.this is a family of thugs trying everything they can try, including making up outlandish lies and acquasitions about Law Enforcement from the locals all the way to the federal level. All they are accomplishing, however, is making thrmselves look more guilty by trying to point fingers at everyone else! The informants are thugs that's true, but most informants are not the cream of the crop! Stay tuned folks, this guys troubles are FAR from over!!!

I have known the stubblefield family for many years and for someone to call them a bunch of thugs is ignorant and if thats what people think then maybe they should get to know them. I'm sure Betty and Gilbert(the parents) would invite you into their home and be very hospitable and you would soon learn that Michael and Matthew were not raised to be the menaces some of you are making them out to be, they are the most loving and caring people i have ever met in my life. back to Michael, he has worked for the government since he was young, joining the airforce then getting involved with the postal service. He is/was the best public servant you could ever find. ask anyone in the eagle rock community who dealt with him at the post office and im sure they will tell you the same. he went above and beyond for anyone that walked thru the door and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. i do not know the facts of the case so i cannot for sure say that he is innocent, unlike a few of you that have already found him guilty (i did not know that the legal process took place on blog sites) but i find it very hard to believe that a man in his position would risk his well paying job/retirement benefits etc to rob uncle roys, a place that probably has less cash on hand then he made in a week. to bring his brother into this is ignorant as well. yes he may have had his problems in the past but show me one person who hasn't. yeah he may have had drug charges (a good percentage of young and older people in this community do have drug problems) but how many convictions did he get? on top of that he now is very active in celebrate recovery, his church, and his family. he even goes around telling his story in an attempt to help people that are possibly heading in the same direction he was in. My GOD what a horrible man he is. all in all i think there is more to this story than what we have heard and i also believe the law enforcement did a bad job handling it. I'm not an officer of the law but if i were handling it i think i may have posted up behind uncle roy's on the night the robbery was supposed to occur and waited for the robbery attempt to take place, they didnt catch anyone doing anything only talking about it and if i'm not mistaken we still live in America where the constitution grants us freedom of speech and we are also innocent until proven guilty.
i guess the moderator didnt like what i had to say therefore did not post my last comment. typical bullshit for people that run sites like this trying to play judge and jury. some investigative reporter
WOW! Sorry I didn't post your comment quickly enough for you. I have other stories and things I cover too, like the political forum I was at tonight.
Patience is a virtue!

I'm sure the stubblefield parents probably are nice folks. But facts are facts and if the stubblefields have freedom of speech then so does everyone else!If the Stubblefields can put a totally bogus slanderous, libel blog out in print against Police officers from the county, state, and federal level then I think they are fair game.Matt might be doing great in CR, a recovery program he was court ordered to attend as part of his Drug Court activities, and he should be doing this to help save some lives after he ruined so many making and selling meth.He also did 6 months in the Stone Co jail. And I hear the Feds are far from done with Mike, but of course they'll say the feds are just trying to shut him up!please!Like the FBI would cover up for small town Cops if there was an inkling any of his claims are true.I happen to know a lot of the people they are slandering and they're fine folks too, so that goes both ways!!
Wow the comments on here must be from the same officers running their mouths on the Gary and daughter page. Let me just say you are no better than the people tou are running your mouths about. Seems funny the only people with bad things to say about the stubblefields is law enforcement. All of the people in the community that REALLY know them know that you guys are trying desperately to cover your asses. You wouldn't have to get on here and find your fat duhnut eating mouths if you weren't a little worried. You making threats to a good family may just piss a lot of people off. I love this family and like a LOT of people around I would do anything for them. Keep running your mouth. I know the truth and it will come out. Maybe not before you get yourself re-elected but it will come out. Also funny how the sheriffs own wife believe it and has helped let the people know. Probably shouldn't have said that. I don't want anyone else to come up missing. I will leave with a good thought. MIKE FOR SHERIFF.
oh I forgot, since anyone who isn't law enforcement is a "thug" regardless of your status in this great community. I should have signed my above comment accordingly. Also before u get so quick to call us names you should know that most the sheriffs family are meth heads and we are all guilty of something. How did the court case go where the bank is still trying to get the godfather off his land? Can't exactly call the cops can they? Which ever one of his goons are writing the above, I'm sure you have something to hide also by the way you run your mouth.
Legally its not slanderous or libel because no one was called by their full name. I have read the blog, it was interesting but on the same note I have also recieved emails saying that our president is a muslim or saluted the pledge of allegience with his left hand, millions of Americans still elected him. If everything someone put in a blog or sent in an email was true then Elvis is alive, mars will invade, and we do have a muslim terrorist as a president. I'm not saying I believe or disbelieve what I read, there's too much information, in my opinion, to completely disregard it. If the proper authorities find reason to investigate I'm sure they will, if not we all got a good story out of it. I too know alot of the mentioned people and think alot of them are fine folks as well but you don't always know someone. Everyone has skeletons
WOW!! Just step back and take a breath people!! I know Both of these families, as well, also the 3rd family they are talking about in this email, and no I don't believe all the emails I get either! The way I read this article these are federal charges? So why is it the locals fault, he wasn't ever in jail here from what I see! And I'm sure the feds have read all of this and I doubt its helping his case any, let the evidence prove or disprove!as far as the 3 missing women goes, the Sheriff now wasn't even Sheriff then. And your right, in this day and age its hard to find a family that's not been affected in one way or another by drugs, just a sad fact these days! But all this bizarre accusing. Officers from the feds on downs just mind blowing!I don't think that many officers over that length of time could get by with so much! Its comical to me really!I guess if the stubblefields wanted to put the email out then the Sheriff had the right to hand it out to people too to help dispute it.No, I'm not a cop, or have any connections so I guess I must be a thug too.I just wish everyone Would just step back and let the case progress and let the evidence or lack thereof speak.Quit tearing down lots of good people just to defend what you think is right.I think everyone has a private life and have the right to persue things in their private life how they see fit, that includes them being able to file lawsuits to right wrongs done to them in the private sector,I'm sure you'd do the same thing to protect your interests. The feds filed these charges, so why jump on all the locals and try to ruin their reputations because your upset about it? Contact the feds and ask them what they have in this case.I'm sure they must have something or they wouldn't have filed the charges or they would have dismissed them by now!Just stop with all this, its getting on one anywhere people!!!
I just want to clear a few things up... Matt has only been arrested ONE TIME for drugs and thats it!! He spent 6 days in Stone county NOT 6months!! Drug Court does have you go to meetings on a regular bases. HOWEVER, Matt graduated drug court a year and a half ago and is still a group leader of Celebrate Recovery. You would think that if Drug court was the only reason for his involvement in CR that he would have quit being involved with it along time ago. Truth is he loves what he does and that is helping people get back on their feet. God gave Matt a second chance at life. He will agree with you that peoples life was destroyed because of the meth he sold, but those people also have the choice of whether or not to buy and use the drugs. Matt never forced it upon anyone. They called him for it and I do still have the over 5year old phone records to prove it.... Matt has been 100% sober for 3years now, this means NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS. Barry County is the Meth capital of the United States and has been for a couple years now... Let's face the facts why is that???
We are thankful God is a loving, forgiving, God that gives second chances....
ALSO, what happened to innocent until proven guilty...
If it makes you feel better to bad mouth us and call us names thats ok go ahead. God know's the truth and that's really all that matters in the end..
Have a blessed day!
Amanda Stubblefield
You make good points, but then so do the rest of these people. I don't believe it said the sheriff was in office at the time. Also I agree to just let it run its course, but in the same sence, the people have stepped back for 20 years. May be a good idea for someone to start taking some steps forward. Also I agree with the fact that the name calling and accusations are not helping. I too know a lot of names mentioned. That's just part of being in a small community. But I will say I have heard stories for years which everyone has. I will not drop any names but they all have friends that will tell us they are good people. Hence the private life. Maybe we don't always know as well as we think we do. The one person keeps asking why the local cops, well if this person really believe this information is true, then that's why the local cops. I will add I have a friend that is an officer and has been in and around the place in question, I ask this man what he thinks of it, he says he can't say word for word but he believes there is a lot of truth to it. Again that's just one man's opinion but it speaks to me.
I'm not buying this guys lies either. If he truly knew the Stubblefields then he wouldn't be talking shit.
Yup, wait for armed people with loaded guns at a store with innocent people..... Smart!
THIS SOUNDS LIKE A BUNCH OF PEOPLE MAKING TROUBLE ...VOTE TIME...I DONT BELIEVE ANY OF THIS GARBAGE AND AS FOR THE INFORMANTS, REALLY? HOW TRUSTWORTHY ARE INFORMANTS WHO RUIN LIVES AND CONTINUE TO GET AWAY WITH WHATEVER IT IS THEY DO IN THIER LIFE...PEOPLE ARE SCARY AROUND HERE, THE BAD GET BADDER AND THAN PATTED ON THE BACK, SAY WHATEVER THEY WANT AND IN A BLINK LIVES ARE TURNED UPSIDE DOWN...WE NEED NEW OFFICIALS
In reguards to Amanda's letter...You are so right. People twist facts and truths to whatever they want, I know, I have been a victim of it, get in a mess and they change everything around, bring in "snitches" to make up whatever the law wants to hear, and it is insane. In fact it ruins lives and the ones "telling" all this are the ones who should of been locked up along time ago! Lets get some new officials in here, this is so sad, wake up people!!! Dont forget to vote!!
Whether or not you know the Stubblefield family, really has nothing to do with this. People knew the Dahmer Family too, said they seemed to be really nice people, but it didn't stop their son from becoming a serial killer. People are blind to facts, when it is someone they know and maybe care about. They have plenty of evidence against the main character and also the two informants, who will testify to cover their own backsides, unless they run off to avoid their own charges later. The guy obviously wasn't this nice, honest guy everyone wants to portray him as, since he has been caught stealing from the postal service along with the planning of this robbery scheme. My understanding is he may also be a person of interest in the disappearances of at least three women from Springfield. Supposedly the male informant is also being looked at for those disappearances. I was also told the two informants, who claim to be under police protection, are not, and have since left the state and moved to Arkansas, which I would assume violates one or both of their conditions of probation and parole for past crimes.None of these people are saints and I hope they get the maximum sentences allowed by law. Even if convicted, some will continue to deny their guilt, claiming they know them and they are such good people. What some need to realize is these people do not represent Eagle Rock or the people of your city. They represent that small group of lowlifes who think they are free to do what ever they want to get what ever they want.
Anonymous is comparing me to serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer! WOW! When Jeffrey Dahmer was 18 years old he killed his first victim. When I was 18 years old I voluntarily enlisted into the United States Air force. I proudly gave my country 4 years of my life, to do what needed to be done. The work I preformed in the Air Force is considered very Politically and Militarily sensitive. It took the FBI and the OSI six months to get my security clearance, during that six months I met many times with a FBI psychiatrist/profiler as did all the other people in my group. I was deemed physically and mentally fit. Jeffery Dahmer had plenty of trouble with law enforcement from his early youth and until he was apprehended as a serial killer. I'm 48 years old and my entire criminal history consists of 1 fishing without a license in Mississippi County, Arkansas, in 1982 and 1 speeding ticket in Benton County Arkansas in 1991.
Am I perfect? No way. You also said I had been charged with stealing mail from the United States Postal Service. That is news to me! No one from the FBI, Postal Inspection Service, or the Office of Inspector General has even suggested that I have ever taken anything that did not belong to me from the Post Office. There is however a separate investigation into a stolen package from a UPS drop off point in Golden Missouri. UPS are the initials for United Parcel Service(the guys in the brown trucks, not the Post Office.)
I will tell you this, anonymous, about 3 to 4 years ago I was given information by a person who was afraid to approach the Barry county sheriff or his deputies for fear of their life. The information they gave to me was about a person they knew that was working as a cook at the Barry county sheriff's office. This cook was illegally obtaining information about criminal investigations and future drug raids. The cook would then notify the criminals that they were under investigation or were about to be arrested. This placed all of the undercover officers lives at risk. I knew that I had to let someone at the sheriff's office know what was going on. I immediately called Detective Cole of the Barry county sheriff's office. She met me the next morning at my office, and I told her what I knew. She immediately notified the sheriff and the problem was quickly resolved. The next time I saw Detective Cole I asked her what the sheriff said when she told him what was going on. She told me she had never seen him so mad.
I did not know then that what I had done was going to have serious repercussions for myself. Over the following months I received several threats. One of the contract truck drivers was stopped at Carr Lane by some local punks and they told the mail truck driver to tell me that I had better watch what I say or else. A month or so after that one of the glass front doors to my post office had been shot with a rifle. I notified the postal inspection service about what was going on but they did not seem to care, nor did the Barry county sheriff's office.
I realize now that by doing the right thing and protecting our undercover officers from potentially life threatening harm, that I had placed my life on the line, and I could not receive any help from any level of law enforcement in any level of our government. I knew then that something had to be done but no one was going to do it for me, so I just simply did what came naturally and that is to take care of it myself. Little did I know the width and depth of corruption and political graft going on in Barry county.
I know now!
I have laid my life on the line to protect the police who protect us and now the same cops have set me up to go to jail so that I will quit complaining about all the meth sales going on in our county.
So, anonymous, if that makes me a bad person, what are you?
Mike Stubblefield, Postmaster Eagle Rock Missouri
"as far as the 3 missing women goes, the Sheriff now wasn't even Sheriff then"
Fact... better check your facts. Same sheriff then as now.
Fact... there have been officers that have left the sheriff's office because of the things they knew were going on.
Fact... the longer corruption goes on the deeper and more imbedded it becomes and the harder it becomes to clean up, just like a disease, both are more nasty and more difficult to get rid of the longer they're left to infest the 'host'.
Fact... a friend of mine from Cassville was arrested and charged with all kinds of idiotic things, then after months the charges were dropped. He died in an 'accident' of a broken neck on a back road in Barry County.
Fact... sometimes the things you read about in fiction stories really do happen to real people in real life.
You go girl!
Matt's decision to stay clean and sober is exactly that, A CHOICE... recovery isn't an easy thing, not like a lot of people think. The recovering addict lives with their addiction each and every day. The really sad part of all of it is the people behind the addicts, the folks that make the really big money from the sale of drugs. They're the ones with the power to ruin the lives of a person. Matt made a choice, he chose God and his family over the drugs, money and power that a lot of people in the area still thrive on. In the end Matt is the one with the power, his choice gave him that power. God Bless and keep you and your family! ~:}
As a matter of fact... I DO know this postmaster and I DON'T like to hear these sort of things said about him when I know him well enough to know he wouldn't do something like this.
I do however have misgivings about the local law enforcement... there have, over the years, been just too many questionable things that have happened and things that should've happened but didn't, for me to have much faith in any investigation supported by them. Any 'smart bear', average or not, has sense enough to see through the crap that goes on in the world around them.
From the missing Springfield Three, to Gary McCullough's disappearance and assumed death/murder to the goings on of present day. Makes me fear for the safety of people and when you can't trust your local law, who can you trust.
And to address the point you made about the position of "Postmaster" not being one of reverence... neither is the position of 'supreme CURT judge' or sheriff or police officer or preacher, for that matter, as addressed in a previous comment. All of these positions are held by HUMAN BEINGS, fallible and imperfect humans, so the job title does not make the person but the person sure as heck reflects on the other folks that hold that same POSITION and in turn reflects on the very people that make the choice to elect them to that position!
A family of 'thugs'?
You must truly be new to the area and ignorant of the genealogy of the county.
The Stubblefield family, of which you speak, has lived in this county for generations. They are farmers, people of the land... hard working, God fearing folks... and you call them 'thugs'. And then you have the nerve to add you two cents under the name... 'anonymous'... wow now that's bravery.
I wonder, did you ever serve your country in the military?
One 'thug' from this family I know for sure did, Michael Stubblefield.
His brother, the one you say was arrested "more than once on drug charges", was in fact arrested ONE time, satisfied the court system on the charges brought against him and is to this day taking part in the rehabilitation of recovering drug addicts like himself.
Thugs, dang, we surely could use more families made up of horrific 'thugs' like these two and their family.
So, yea, stay tuned, if the whole truth is allowed to come out you'll find that the 'thugs' are located elsewhere in the county, not in this family.
it has been brought to my attention that the sheriff when the three womem in Springfield went missing wasn't the same one that is in office now. The stories circulating about the moving and destruction of three human skeletons was since the current sheriff took office. Ralph Hendricks was sheriff of Barry County when the Springfield women disappeared.
I think the fact check you spoke of was not as accurate as you thought when you said that "the Sheriff Then is the same Sheriff now" I think Mick was elected Sheriff in 1996 the 3 woman from Springfield went missing in 1992. I think Mick was a Deputy for Sheriff Ralph Hendrix (Mick and Ralph are related) No nepotism there, LOL. The Sheriff then is related to the one there now.

This is for the Postmaster blog replying to Beverly Vaughn fact check post
I find it refreshing that the only two comments on here WITH names on them are from members of the Stubblefield family.
After reading this blog from start to finish... I'm so confused by all the contributors that signed their names with 'anonymous' that I don't know whether to scratch my watch or wind my butt.
I really tried to figure out and line up the comments of which anonymous said what and was replying to whom... complete idiocy. You could at least use a name that would make your comment specific enough that this blog would make sense in the sense that it has some form of traceability from one contributor to the next. (whenever I see the word 'anonymous' I think of a small rodent that does all its damage... gnawing on things, peeing and crapping on stuff in the dark where no one can see it... anony-mouse, just always struck me as a funny, a mouse named 'anony'.)
I'm still of the opinion that if you don't have the nerve to stand behind what you have to say and sign your name to your comment then keep you mouth shut. So, YES!, when you get to the end of this comment you WILL see my name.
As to the comment made by 'anonymous' LOL, comparing Michael to Jeffrey Dahmer and his family to the Stubblefield family... good grief, how stupid ARE you!? Dahmer had HUMAN body parts in his house and was dining on his victims... just what are you comparing between the two, that there's dysfunction in every family? Then for Pete's sake just SAY that, don't make some idiotic comparison like that. AND if you've read much about the Dahmer case you'd also know that the people that knew the family, knew that there was something odd going on with the parents and Jeffrey from when he was small. Then as now, with the local authorities, no one wanted to get involved. Back in the day, so to speak, whatever happened inside a family unit was usually kept quiet and hush, hush. The old adage, we don't talk about it, it doesn't exist, was pretty much the rule of life.
This is not what is going on with the issues in Barry County over the last few years. Whenever someone has tried to step forward and right a wrong that's been done, it's that person that's persecuted and hounded to death, literally to death, in some instances.
I have a good friend that lives in Mac County in MO. Not long ago they told me that their title of 'meth capital' of MO had been taken away from them. That their neighboring county, Barry County, now had that title. This friend has gone through a lot of the same things that's going on with some of the folks in and around Cassville right now.
Their front door was 'kicked' one night so hard that it shook the house. They called the local law enforcement, who did come out and check on things, after which they sat in their hallway facing the door the rest of the night with loaded guns.
I was there one weekend for a visit and the next morning when we got up one of the family dogs had been shot and left within 20 ft of the bedroom where I slept. Now what kind of message do you think that sends to people. This wasn't the first of their dogs to have been 'injured' but the first to have been actually killed. And the dog didn't just 'drag' its self home to die after being wounded, it had been shot in the head.
I grew up around guns and hunting and there was no way the dog had been killed there, we'd have heard it, nor was alive when it was brought there, not a drop of blood was on the ground around it... it had bled out where ever it had been shot and then placed there.
So if you want to get into the evil that people do, you need to take a long, hard look at the folks that are standing to lose the most money if the drug trade in the area is shut done, be it public or private citizens... they won't go out easy.
Do keep this in mind... YOU could always be the next one brought to the firing line.

Kathee, Please post on Eagle Rock Postmaster blog.
The funny thing about anonymous blog poster's is that they are like Crickets. They make a lot of noise, you hear it but you can't see them. Then when you walk by them, they're quiet.
I'm shocked that none of the 'anonymous' contributors have responded or left follow-up comments since the last few comments added by myself and the accused postmaster of Eagle Rock.
I really thought 'smarter than the average bear' (post Anonymous April 12, 2012 5:53 PM) might have a few words to add..... No?
Or how about 'Dahmer name dropper'? post (Anonymous June 17, 2012 9:44 AM)
You neither, huh? That's such a shame since you raised such a terribly valid point in your comparison of the serial killer and the postmaster.... hmmm that just might make a good book.... mmm... NOT!
And then 'smarter than the average bear' post (Anonymous April 7, 2012 5:32 PM) talks about the tapes of the conversation of the postmaster and his co-conspirators... Sounds as though the person making this comment just may've heard the alleged tape or been privy to a conversation about such a tape if one really exists. ya reckon? Can you say law enforcement?
And as yet I've heard NOTHING of anyone else being arrested and charged with taking part in a conspiracy. So I guess the postmaster is the only one guilty of being a conspirator? And I thought the definition of the word 'conspire' went something like this...
1. To plan together secretly to commit an illegal or wrongful act or accomplish a legal purpose through illegal action.
2. To join or act together; combine.
Silly, silly me... what WAS I thinking?
If the postmaster, Michael Stubblefield, was acting alone then there is no conspiracy, if he was planning all this 'robbery' of this small town gas station with two other people, then why no word on what's going on with them?
I, for one, am made to wonder about all this.
At any rate, was just wondering where all the little mice have gone, Anony and his friends.
Watch your backs out there neighbors... and watch the ones that are watching over you.
It's not always as it seems.
Sweet dreams!

So, Beverly Joe Vaughn, what makes you any better than anyone else? We all have the right to post our opinions. Do you even know if that is actually Mike Stubblefield or Amanda Stubblefield posting here? No you don't, unless you are sitting in the same room while they post their comments.
It's funny how he proclaims his innocence here, yet there is evidence supposedly collected by local law enforcement, the Postal Service and the FBI. Let's make this clear, there are recorded conversations with Mike Stubblefield and others, planning the robbery. He claims on here that he is being setup, yet his own words may be what hang him. All on record, which is how they obtained the arrest warrants. I suppose they are actually the ones conspiring, since Mr. Innocent did no wrong?
For your info, the comparison to Jeffrey Dahmer was not for a comparison for a particular type of crime, but for the similarity to this situation. Such as, people who think they know someone yet that person is far different than their view of them. People can be very good liars, especially when they have things to hide.
The reason for anonymous posting is to protect ourselves from attack or threats by the accused or others involved. Regardless, we don't even know if you are who you claim to be either. I can make up names all day and post. Myself or anyone else could be the one posting as Mike Stubblefield, ever think of that? Seriously, do you think he would be posting here? I'm sure his attorney wouldn't want that to happen and would have told him not to discuss anything about this case. By doing so, anything he posts, could be used against him in court also. Not exactly the brightest thing to be doing.
I'll wait and see what all the evidence is against him and then see what happens during his trial. Unless he ends up pleading guilty to make a deal or something.
My, my, my, someone has their panties wadded.
Mr. ~ Mrs. ‘Anonymouse’, whichever the case may be, I’m not going to engage in a mud slinging match with you, even thought that’s what you want more than anything, you’re not getting it from me.
1st ~ When you read my comment you missed SEVERAL things that I stated quite clearly. Since I’m sure that you’re smarter than the average bear, you’ll be able to figure out what I’m talking about. If not… ‘your bad’!
2nd ~ I’m sure you’ve probably already ‘googled’ me and found that there really is a Beverly Joe Vaughn and I guess you’ll just have to take my word for it that it is me posting under that name. Since the spelling of my middle name is different than that normally used for a female that would make the name in its self - unique. As for whether or not I know if it really is Amanda and/or Mike Stubblefield posting under their names unless I’m sitting beside them as they post…. How do you know that I wasn’t? You don’t!
3rd ~ If you’ll READ the comment that I posted that so set you off, you’ll see that I did state, “In my opinion, etc, etc, etc.” I am still of that same mind set. I stand on the statement I made in the previous post a while back. “IN MY OPINION, if a person can’t use their name on a post then they should keep their mouth shut.” Yes, you ARE entitled to your opinion, I never said you weren’t. READ what I’ve written, it’s in fairly plain English. I hate it for you that you took what I said so personally, but that’s not my issue… end of story.
4th ~ You stated in your ‘comment’ that some don’t or won’t use their real name for fear of threats or of harm being done to them. I hate that people feel they have to live with that kind of fear, I don’t and I won’t.
We are all guaranteed our freedom of speech, which I do exercise on here and on other forums. We are also guaranteed the right to own and bear arms and to protect our selves. I do and I will.
If I should ever feel that my life were threatened I would defend me and mine to the death… the threat or mine.
With all of this being said… I seemed to have forgotten the point of your post… if there was one….
I’ll end this with one of my favorite quotes; “Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.”
Yep we all know the truth if we really look what u gonna do laws?? Kill us alls?? Jesus knows what u did aint it hard to know that ur gonna have to face hell for all eternity for the baby girls who never came home
