A Polk County man charged with murder for beating another man to death with his bare hands in November 2007 has pleaded guilty to an amended charge.
Steven J. Clark II, 31, of Dunnegan and Ralph Fine, 38, Fair Play, were at a party on November 15, 2007, when Clark accused Fine of being a "snitch."
Witnesses say the men took the brawl outside where Clark punched Fine in the face, knocking him to the ground. According to the witnesses, Clark repeatedly pounded Fine in the head with his fists until other party goers pulled him off of Fine who suffered traumatic brain injury.
Fine died from his injuries the next day.
Clark, who pleaded guilty to the amended charge of voluntary manslaughter last week, has been in custody since his arrest. He is scheduled to be sentenced on January 6, 2010.
The case was moved from Polk County to Benton County on a change of venue.
